More Stuff

I'm sitting down in front of the computer with a hot water bottle now because I'm having severe cramps. Owwww!!!!

I ate my painkillers liao eh, but it doesn't seem to help. Luckily there's no school today if not I am going to die lor...

Gotta do some research for my GE modules later. Haha. Oh man!! I feel like I'm much more busy now compared to school days...maybe because I can't seem to skip my GE lessons!!! -_-!! Too little people and so it's darn obvious if I don't turn up. Yikes.

Let me continue my backdated events of my life....wahahaha.

30 April 2006

My new baby!!!

After months of complaining and whining about my pathetic Samsung E600c, I finally bought a new phone!! Just nice it was labour day holiday that weekend....and so M1 was having some labour day promotion that day. So I got myself a K750i!! The price has finally dropped to something which I can afford lor... S$198. Heehee. Good buy I think!!

Now me and clement have got couple phones! Hiak hiak. And in the end clement paid for it..because he was the one that complained the most when my stupid E600c either died on me, dropped our conversations, or sent SMSes which are always lost in cyberspace. Haha. So I jokingly asked him if I were ever to buy a new phone how much will he sponsor me...lols~!

He told me 200 buckaroos. Haha. And so just nice lor. Heehee. Didn't get Nokia L'Amour edition phone I was bioing in the end because right now, I am still skeptical about Nokia's technology. And I initially wanted to get the Dopod smart phone! But since the K750 dropped their prices, of course I get that lar! I can finally see all those smiley faces and the funny animations that clement sends me. Heehee.

Hence now is a crazy download of all kinds of themes, games for my mobile!! Yay. Tried to create a theme for the both of us, but I think because it's still at its infantile stage, darn ugly!!! But I shall continue to try. Hiak hiak.

3rd May 2006

Our 3rd anniversary!! Haha. I think clement forgot about it because of the so many things that had happened...but it's alright. :) As I had paper on 4th May, clement came down to the funeral palour to fetch me home after the night prayers. Coz the paper is in the morning and I needed to go back early to prepare for the next day paper.

4th-5th May 2006

We had chalet at The Gallery Hotel. Pictures and more on that later. :) This is our so-called 3rd Anniversary celebration as well I guess? :)

6th May 2006

My ah kong's sea burial ceremony. This is so interesting wor...because I have never seen a sea burial nor participated in it before. Haha.

Oh yah! It's also election day! Haha. But then my area walkover lar...nothing to vote. Haha. So sad can, since passing 21 I haven't got a chance to vote for anything at all...Presidential elections was also walkover, and now General elections also walkover...and guess what? For once clement gets to vote...because his is the AMK GRC mah...every year kena walkover except this year. Haha.

Clement told me, "Maybe next election, we both can go together and vote."

And I told him back, "Maybe next election, walkover again lar!!!"

Hiak hiak. Anyway as I was saying my ah kong's sea burial was held on that day...so we went to Changi Jetty in the morning, met up with my relatives, and had breakfast. Actually I was quite worried I will get seasick, because I don't know how much wobbly motion I can take. Haha. Anyway the instructions did say eat a piece of ginger 1 hour before to curb the seasickness. We all didn't bother about that. Haha

Anyway I saw this very interestingly decorated store in the hawker center there!!

Cute huh? So artistic wor...Heh. Actually I saw another one while walking around Changi Village, but then I didn't take photo because I was...I also dunno. Haha.

So after breakfast we went to the jetty, got a bumboat, and then went out to sea! Threw some bread into the sea along the way, and in the middle of the sea, the monk chanted some prayers again...and after that we all get to throw my ah kong's ashes and some into the sea. The feeling was very nice, quite serene in fact...it's just flowers and his ashes.

After doing so we went back to the jetty already. On the way back, we saw a lot of aeroplanes flying towards Changi Airport!! So low!! Haha...so I whipped out my mobile and tried to take a pic. Heehee.

So low right? Haha. I didn't know that planes flew that low when they land at the airport. Seems amazing...like I'm seeing a plane larger than life for once. (Boarding the aeroplane doesn't count because I don't see it flying! Haha.)

And later that afternoon we went to the Singapore Buddhist Lodge to pray for my ah kong...lasted for like, 6 hours? But in between with breaks of course, and also very nice vegetarian food lor!! Haha. Imagine vegetarian satay, sushi (complete with the roe!) and some pork ribs soup. Yummy.

8th May 2006

Special session starts! Haha. Went for the lessons and realised that the enrollment rate is super low...until I think I am going to be super guai and hardworking for the next 4 weeks or so. Yikes. Cannot skip lesson leh!!! Sian sian. Luckily there's the prez and the friends to tide me over.

But still, I can't wait for GE to be over!! Must endure must endure!!!

And yup...FYP presentation madness. Haha. Partner and I are going crazy over our slides and feeling helpless all over. Hahaha.

9th May 2006

In school again, meeting up with the partner to discuss our slides.

"wah, so ON ah!" our friend said.

"No choice because we don't know what to expect and what's expected..."

That's our main problem lor...

Met the bro and his partner in canteen (just as I needed kopi. Haha!) He just finished his presentation and came with like, 99 slides?!?!?

They present until the time maxed up (1 hour allocated to each group only) and the moderator didn't get to ask much questions. Hahahaa. Good strategy! Alas, we don't have that many things to fill up 99 slides unlike them.

Despairing over the conclusion because it is the key most important thing...our presentation can be crap, but conclusion must be good!! Haha.

Finally left school after 5 hours of discussion non-stop. :) And we wrote out a little "speech" which my partner was supposed to memorise. Our conclusion mah. Must use the correct words. Haha.

10th May 2006

Day of reckoning. Partner and I are absolutely stressed and scared. We kept imagining the worse case scenario, ie. Our supervisor shoots us like no business during the presentation? Or our moderator shoots us like crazy??

We were quite worried about our moderator because we didn't get a chance to talk to him before this presentation so we totally don't know what to expect.

Partner came at 11+ (our presentation was 11.30 sharp) and after that it was a mad frenzy to get the lappie going with the appropriate files opened and also, I still wanted to edit my slides! Haha. Made some last minute changes before dashing out of the tutorial room and saw my FYP supervisor.

He smiled and said, "Good luck to you."

That was pretty encouraging!! So anyway, the moderator came, and we started on the presentation. When it came to the end, our supervisor looked very pleased. Haha. In fact during the presentation he kept nodding his head...which means it's good! Yay!

And the moderator didn't ask many questions...he just asked me one question and directed all his queries to my partner. But it's nothing too difficult, just some issues with the slides and one question on her opinion. And it's over!! Yay~~!

My supervisor was nice!! While the moderator was asking some questions with the slides, he helped us by answering the moderator too. :) Which was totally unexpected because I thought that the supervisor was not supposed to say anything. Haha.

My presentation was like, over in 30 minutes? Haha. Supposed to last for 50 minutes but we were done in half the time! Haha. Very glad and my supervisor praised us for doing a good job. Haha. Yup...for the past one year I think my supervisor has been disappointed time and again with our progress and all...but right now he seemed pleased which means we probably get a chance to get B. I hope lar...

Oh, and I had to wear formal for this presentation, and I thought I looked pretty good!! Wahaha...Purposely bought a shirt for this presentation...and it's from This Fashion. Heehee. But I think its cutting looks like from G2000! So classy. :p

Taken outside my house at the corridor. Very bo liao I know. Hahaha. But I think the combi is nice which is unexpected. Haha. Coz before I even bought the shirt I don't know which bottom or which shoe I am going to wear. Hahaha.

And so my FYP ended on a high!!! :D

And psssst! I found out my bro got gf!!! Woohoo~~~ Another one attached already. Haha.

11th May 2006

Slacking like no business at home. Think I slept the whole day at home before dragging myself out to meet some friends at Holland Village. This time round, we are venturing to Settler's Cafe to play games!!!

Stayed there from 6 till 10pm, in which after clement came to bring me out for dinner/supper and send me home. Haha. We played a few games, one of which is the zombie game!! Haha. So fun dehsou!! Too bad I didn't get a chance to take photo because my phone dying and I still needed to use it. Haha. Didn't think I will go shutter-happy at the cafe...

Girls, we should go try that some day leh!!!

The only photo of that evening...

That's the Prez's hand making a special appearance at the right side. Hahaha.

Anyway the coloured figurines are us, the grey figurines are the zombies. And we were trying to sabo each other to prevent each other from reaching the helipad (top left hand corner). See the orange fingurine? That owner was winning soon and everyone was trying to stop her. Hahaha.

I'm the lime green figurine. I think I died 3 times for the duration of the game. LoL~

Actually playing that game made me think of House of the Dead 4. Hahaha. I am hooked onto shooting games now!!! First it was Virtua Cop 3, now is this. I think the arcade making big bucks from me man. Haha~!

Okie my backdated events are up-to-date for now. :) We went Jurong Hill Top Restuarant for lunch yesterday, but I will leave it for another day.
