The Week Before...
Backdated post again....I think. :)
Last week was a considerably busy week, preparing for presentations, the presentation itself, and ending with a trip to Sungei Buloh Nature Reserve on Friday. My GE requires that we go visit some place of nature lor!!! But it was interesting because otherwise I would never have went there on my own. Alas, I forgot to bring my mobile so no pics at all.
I think from now onwards there's gonna be a whole lot of pictures for this post blog...because I have a mobile phone that allows me to go snap-happy and delivers such good quality pics!! I cannot ask for more already...
Haha...as I mentioned earlier, we went to the Jurong Hill Top Restaurant for some Teppanyaki on Monday afternoon~! This was at the suggestion of the Prez...coz I was actually lemming for Lai Lai Chili Rice...but he mistaken it as the Chicken Rice at Jurong Point. *diao*
Here's the set-up~
I think there were some appetizers for us to munch on while the guy cooked our food. But then again, I don't like sotong (when not in calamari form) and the pickles tasted ok ok (I'm not a great fan of that either)...I basically left the whole thing untouched.
I ordered salmon for myself and the prez (he had no opinion on what to order... and so I forced it on him. haha.) and the two girls we went with ordered scallops, venison and mushroom. Nice nice!!
So here's my salmon in the cooking...and the scallops which thie girls ordered.
Our food in the cooking!! The foil plate is where my salmon is boiled. Interesting deshou...coz when I ordered the lady told me mine is not fried...and I was like,
How do you do teppanyaki when it is supposed to be not fried?. So I ordered to try lor. Heh. Anyway I was feeling heaty so I didn't want fried stuffs anyway.
That's me! With this little
bib-thing. Hahaha. All of us were rather stunned when the waitress helped us put it on...probably because we weren't expecting that. But I think it's a nice touch..because being teppanyaki, there might be splashes of oil like that...so it's a thoughtful thing to have a bib (some call it the apron actually).
My completed salmon!! Comes with some egg thingy and lots of sauce!! Nice and sweet...I like. :)
These prawns were ordered by some of the rich peoples opposite us...the prawns are giant man!!
One prawn = my palm. Hahaha. And the chef is really skillful, looking at the way he was slicing the head, shelling it, and then taking out the intestines (ewwww) and then leaving it on the teppanyaki table top. Must do it fast, if not the prawns kena fried already~!
That's all for that Japanese food thingy...haha. I think it's been a long time since I last ate teppanyaki. In fact, I think the last time I ate was at BKK's teppanyaki restaurant!! LoL~~ Somehow I only eat teppanyaki when I'm overseas...
