Very Long Posting...

Things are looking up, in the midst of all the turmoil in my life. But hey, what doesn't gets you down can only make you stronger right? Heehee~

My grandfather is on his way to recovery, but a rather slow and uncertain one, and one that's full of obstacles lar. Although the operation was a success, but right now, his gullet and air pipe (dunno what you call that) is like, joined(!) or entangled(!) and so, everything he is consuming via his mouth will end up in his lungs. And so right now, he has to go through tube feeding lor...which I think is really very very jia lat lar... And the doctor mentioned that he may have to be fed this way for the rest of his life, because it seems that there's probably very little chance that the food will actually go into his stomach if he eats.

This is like, so unexpected! One would have thought that after the operation of the neck bone, everything will be okay, but in the end, this came up! And then not only this, the doctors were saying that he doesn't breathe properly and deeply enough, and so they are also now trying to "train" him to breathe. Sheesh~ Suddenly the main focus is no longer on his neck or nerves...it's all the other things also...

Haiz. I hope my grandfather doesn't give up on himself, if not, we really can't help him already. There are days whereby he was really frustrated and ended up scolding a lot of people, and some days where he will sleep and sleep the day away. He once mentioned that he can't eat, can't move his hands, can't walk...and he still got a lot of things to do. And that is his source of frustration lar. But we are always reminding him that everything will take time lor, so have to tell him that he has to go through physio to get well. In actual fact, so far we don't even know whether he will be able to go through physio...the current hospital doesn't want him, now have to wait for another hospital liao. If they don't, then my grandfather will really have no where to go also.

Enough of my ah kong. Well, mr clement and I are like, okay once again. :) Seems like we really dun have the kind of mo4 qi4 to know what each other is thinking lor. Grrrr. Why can't he think like a normal human being huh! Why can't he react the same way as a normal human huh! Why must be his responses be so weird de!!! Bleah. If he thinks like a normal human then I think we won't have so much unhappiness between us lor. Everything just started from his actions (or lack of), and so we had a big fight and all that lor.

Anyway, we have talked things through, and once again, everything is okay. It's funny you know, because there was a time when I was so adamant that I just want to leave him, because of the way he's reacting to my grandfather's plight and me...and on that day we met up to talk about it, he actually brought my valentine's day pressie along. -_- He told me he thought he was going to lose me that night...and wanted to give me whatever he has bought for the V-day (this year) because he scared got no chance to give. I nearly want to pengz okay! Aiyoyo....see! I say he doesn't think like normal human being liao. LoL~

In some sense it's actually sweet lar, because he actually got think of V-day and he had even started planning and buying what he wanted to give me lor. Although it's not very complete, because he didn't have time to look for a shop to carve the metal key chain, but I think the fact he actually started planning for V-day in January is very sweet lar. For me, I think I would be last minute again...wondering what to buy for him lor.

Actually at this point in time while I am writing this, I really have nothing planned for him yet! Hahaha...

And since V-day he will be working, we earlier "celebrated" our V-day lar. Went to Ritz Carlton for a very nice dinner on Friday night! (4 Feb 2005) It's buffet style lar, and it has got an amazing array of food! The appettizers already can scare you liao....got cold dish (many many kinds), got bread (different kinds), got dim sum (char siew sou, spring roll...), got cheese (different colours and shapes). Then the main course got amazing array lor...things like sea cucumber (which I didn't eat), lobster cooked in different ways, fish (salmon and others), chicken (very nice!), lamb steak, beef steak, fried tang hoon...etc. The food like very exotic lar. Will never expect to eat it outside lor. Heh~ And there's this seafood section lor, where, of course people were crowding around for the whole night lar. Got sushi (raw) and sashimi, and also lobsters, crayfish, crab, tiger prawns, mussels, etc.

And then for dessert there are fruits (usual lar), cakes (plenty!), puddings (very cute lar), oh! And lots of chocolate! I love the chocolates leh...it's those kind you see at the chocolate shop de lor. Little cubes put very nicely together for everyone to take...and got 8 kinds I think. Haha. But then by the time we started attacking the chocolates we were darn full. So in the end we ate 4 of it. Got peanut chocolate and green tea chocolate de. So stylo. Heehee~

Amazing array of food sia....haha. We spent I think2 hours sitting there and eating and chatting lor. LoL~ We didn't like the lobsters, so we had more of the crayfish and prawns lar. What strikes me was that, there were at least 3 different dishes with lobster lor...got a seafood combo, got a fried slipper lobster (very nice!), got those steamed lobster lor...kaoz. Like lobster dun need money like that de. Hahaha.

And then there was also coffee and tea for all lar...included in the buffet. That dinner was like 100+ for both of us lor...luckily got vouchers...haha. So we ended up paying 60 bucks or so. Very worth it sia. And of course, the service was impeccable...it's the Ritz after all. :)

Anyway, did you know that 4 Feb 2005 is actually the start of the Chinese New Year? Not 9 February like the Lunar Calendar says. That's because the CNY is actually the start of Spring (in dunno where). And this year the spring starts earlier than the Lunar Calendar...and this is considered a "blind" year. I read about this in Straits Times before...that's why they say this year get married is considered inauspicious lar...hmmm......

I have been receiving a lot of horoscope thingy via email lately, and in office too. Haha. Especially in office, it's like, someone printed the whole horoscop thingy in office and spread around lor. And since some of the IA students are from China, so ask them to read and then tell us what it is about lor. Very good ah...because the horoscope thingy are all in Chinese and I read Chinese very slowly de lor. Heehee~

But there was one I received from my mother lar. It mentioned that this Rooster year is considered not very auspicious lor. And it also mentioned that 4 Feb 2005 is actually the start of the CNY...so observe what happens (or happened, in my case) to you on that day...because it is indicative of what the rest of the year will be like. :) Hmmm...guess what. The most unfortunate incident that happened to me was that I carried a bowl of soup and scalded my finger lor. And this has never happened before lar. My finger damn pain also. Bleah....so I guess, not a very good "start" lor.

And for mr clement hor, even more eventful sia. He woke up to find that his car tyres were punctured. Not 1, not 2, but all 4 tyres okay! A prankster must have been lurking around in the carpark that night lor. Bleah~ In the end he had to change all 4 tyres...costing him 630 bucks. Heart pain leh. So I guess for him, it's a bad year for buying cars? Hahahaha.....

Actually this kind of thing, take it as a pinch of salt de lor. Though a lot of people like to believe in this and all, but then I think everything is also pre-destined de lar. Just like mr clement and his car lor. Usually he work night shifts de mah, at night will park at company de lor. Then just nice that night he not working, park in the carpark and then kena liao lor.

So I told him better go and buy 4-D man...buy the date, buy the car number...Hahaha. So qiao man, everything happened on that fateful 4 February lor. Too coincidental liao sia....

And hor, I realised that I still have yet to post pics of my cousin's wedding, my KL trip...hmmmm....no time so far leh. sheesh~ Maybe later today or something bah. Haha. I have to spring clean today yah! Monday working, Tuesday half day, but I will have a 5-day weekend after that! Yay! The Friday after the 2 days CNY I will have off, because my supervisor says so! Haha. Such a nice guy... :p And apparently all the IA students all having offday also lar. So no point some go back and some stay at home lor. And my supervisor also taking leave sia. Haha. So no point for us to go to work when there's no one to give work right? Hahahaha.

Later then write somemore. :)

Cheers~
