Sick and Sick

Seems like I'm always blogging about me getting sick. -_- Anyway. I'm sick again, down with flu and fever yesterday, but much better today. I went to work, but since my partner was not at work, I slacked the whole day again today. :) That's how ridiculous we are all getting, the attachment students.

Actually I was okay yesterday too, only had runny nose and occassionally sneezes. In the end my manager saw that I was eating medicine, he told me to go home, because the place is air-conditioned, and that I should not be spreading my germs to the rest of the popuation in the office. Guess what? Another 2 students were also down with cold too (my partner included), and we were all at work. I didn't want to go back at first because I have to take MC (which I am very reluctant to) and also there are upgrading works at my block (which means lots of drillings). Going back wouldn't help. However, at my manager's persistance and my fellow attachees persuasion (eh, u still have a few months to go leh...) , I decided that I'm better off at home since I can read story book and then sleep. Heh~ Not to mention, take a stronger medicine (may cause drowsiness) so that I can recover faster. :)

In the end I came down with fever when I reached home. Was I lucky or was I lucky?

I slept the whole day away and still had a big headache later on. Sheesh~ But I still went to work this morning, with my headache, because I felt so apologetic for leaving so early. Heh~ I was at work for at most 2 hours before the manager zero-ed in on me and chase me out. Heehee.

Best of all, I didn't have to produce MC! Heh~ Considered time-off, so it's okay lar. :)

My supervisor (who's outstationed at the moment) didn't seem too happy when I email-ed him about me taking leave yesterday. Oh well, I didn't have the time and chance to come online anyway...and so I dragged till this morning before telling him about it. Hm...when he comes back and ask about it then I will explain bah...

And guess what! I went to work this morning, to realise that my original desk has been taken up by this indian guy who has been just hired by the company. He was quite funny, even told me that we would share desks together. Frankly, I will feel uncomfortable sharing my desk with a guy, indian or not. Heh~ Because the cubicle isn't very big...so being in such close proximity to another guy (other than a bf or father or friend) will feel so weird.

In the end I seek refuge from another fellow attachee. Heehee~

And in the end I am so-called permanently seated there because my admin told me that the table is the indian's, now and forever.

Good! Haha. I hate that place anyway. Feel like I am always being scrutinised...for working, for not working, for reading books, for talking, for leaving early, and the list goes on....you can't believe how disgusting office politics can get, until you are in the center of the cross-fire. Best of all, one doesn't even have to do anything. Just sitting down innocently will un-innocently put you in direct cross-fire.

By the way I forgot to mention that the fellow attachee's cubicle's feng shui is very good! Haha. Beside her is just another guy, behind us is a pillar, so we are unlikely to be disturbing anyone (except the one sitting beside her) unless we decide to TALK VERY LOUDLY like a certain parrot.

We call her the parrot, because, eh...she sounds like one, speaks like one...go find a parrot to understand what I mean. :)

Oh yah not to mention, that fellow attachee's place is good for surfing internet, if we ever get a computer. Can you believe it? We are so lacking in space that nearly every cubicle has to be shared by 2 people. -_- And none of us have a net-accessible computer to ourselves...we either use a colleague's one, or I will use my supervisor's one.

So, it's important that my supervisor comes back soon yah. Heehee~

I miss him...but I miss his computer too.

Buahahahaha~
