An Interesting Read

This is one of the books I had been reading for the past few days. Basically it is about an autistic boy, who wanted to write a mystery book and so the dog is his mystery. And it also gives an insight on what he thinks of and why certain things irritates him and such.

It's a different kind of novel which I have been accustomed to, and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised upon reading this book. Well, autistic people are very clever too, but they operate in a different way from us, meaning their thoughts and their habits are different. Just like how the character in this book, he hates yellow and brown (he puts food colouring into yellow food!!) and loves red.

He likes things to have an order and cannot tolerate if they are out. Just like to us, a time-table is just to let us know when we have our lessons, but to him a time-table is known as a "map" of time...because like maps, it shows you exactly where you are, even if it is at that point in time.

This is probably something very bewildering. Oh, and that guy is a maths whiz too. So his aim in life is to do his A Levels, get As for them, and then go university and get a First Class Honours.

How amazing is that right?

It's like a food-for-thought kind of book, mainly because it is meant to inspire, to tell us that even though we may be way behind others at certain things, it is perfectly fine. We all have our own pace to go...so even if it takes longer, we should strive because we will eventually get there.

Go borrow the book from the library. Heh.
