Simple Life
Once in a while, I will pop in to write some stuffs. Sometimes it's something I want to remember something by, sometimes it's something that's affected me. Happy or sad, I try to write whatever I could.
Nowadays I don't really write blogs that much because in all senses of the word, I am very tired. Working just seems to sap your energy bit by bit....to the point whereby you get home the last thing you ever want to do is to sit in front of the PC after staring at it the whole day.
I have lots of pictures to post up, but it got wiped out after my hard disk crash. I'm starting clean from a new hard disk, the only pics I have left are in my trusty mobile. I think I will cry if my mobile gets lost!!
That's besides the point. I'm also lazy to the point of no return. Hahaha. So many pics but so lazy to post any.
But!!! There's been so many happenings lately. I shall attempt to do some picture posting. Heh.

My company sent me for teambuilding with my client somewhere end of February. I had fun!! Venue was A'Famosa in Senai, Johor Malaysia. We each got to stay in a huge 5-star hotel. 1 person per room leh!! Shiokkkk!!!!
A bit pointless la, 2 beds in the room. My colleague got 1 big king sized bed to himself. Good hor? Haha. Nevertheless, apart from this shiok hotel room, our teambuilding was very very fun!! To be frank I was not expecting much...I think my colleague and I were prepared to stick together if things are not good. By the way, we two are the youngest there already. Hahaha...
Luckily it was pretty fun in the end!! At least I got to know my client-side people better. And we were full of nonsense throughout. It's nice to see everyone so light-hearted and so relaxed. Our meal conversations dominated mainly on subjects like, husband/wife stuffs. Hahaha. So one of the (older) female colleagues asked, "what have you learnt?" My male colleague immediately answered, "Don't get married." LOL. Obviously hearing so many stories he got wary already. Hahaha.
And my boy recently bought me this.....
My Burberry Blue Label bag. I have been bio-ing it for quite some time. Hehehe. This one is January edition, so still considered quite a new range. I love it love it!!! Heh. This range of Burberry is only available in Japan, the boy got it in Singapore from someone who happens to be a friend of his. Long story short, he brought me to choose a bag that I like, and I like this!!
Now I just need to find a good day to bring it out. The boy keep teasing me about me and my branded bags...because one fine day we were walking in the sun, the rain clouds came and I told my boy to protect my Coach Wristlet. From then on he cannot stop teasing me about rainy days and branded bags. LoL. But nowadays keep raining, I don't feel safe bringing it out either. Rather leave it at home. Hehehe.
Recently a lot of people went IT show. Me and the boy went too! But we bought only ink refills. LoL. But it's a good deal since it comes with $5 NTUC voucher and 1 pack of 100 photo paper and some other "goodies". Main thing was, the boy and I found this interesting Hawaiian Coffee + Smoothie place tucked at one corner. It's actually the same place which Marche used to be. They were having 1-for-1 smoothie, so the boy and I got this:
Mine is Pina Colada (on the right), and I think the boy's one was black raspberry something. Anyway it tasted real nice and the place is so good to nua until we were almost late for the dinner appointment with the gang. One more thing, the smoothie takes a long time to melt so we sat there for as long as it took also.

Still Happy New Year
Heart-shape printed piggie. What more can that be for? :) This was the free gift given by Suntec City if you managed to spend S$288 and above in one day! I can already think of a good use of it...though it's cheesy...a guy giving the girl this piggie and telling her, "It's
Valentine's day, so let's spend it together, and let's save for our future together using this lovely heart-printed piggie bank..."
Will you be swooned? Haha. I simply cannot imagine!!!
This was the dessert served onboard the cruise during one of our dinners. It actually didn't look like that but my sister purposely made it this way lor. She calls this
一朵鲜花插在牛粪上 (literally meaning a fresh flower lying on shit, which means such a sweet young thing with such an ugly old man, and the like).
Anyway it tastes damn good. Haha. It's chocolate mousse. Frankly I only get to eat this when I go cruise. So sad la. So I must take advantage whenever I go cruise lo!!
Valentine's Cruise 2007We dropped by KL during our cruise! Actually I would dedicate a whole post to it but then I haven't got photos and since I have some from my mobile so might as well. ;)
We dropped by San Francisco Coffee during our day trip in KL! I already liked it way back 2 years ago when I last visited the place. So this time since we are in the vicinity this was a must-visit place! And since it was a day after
Valentine's Day, so there were these pretty cakes around! I would buy them back but too bad the ship doesn't allow food to be taken onboard. :(
On a sidenote, we also went to eat KFC!! I'm like, so happy because everytime we go JB we don't get to eat the KFC there because it was not good enough the last time we tried. So...authentically "shiok" KFC is only limited to either Genting or KL.
I bought my Monkees along! Haha. We got a window room this time so here's the view of the cable car towers on Sentosa. Heh. ;)
Tiring Day - 22nd February 2007It was a tiring day because I single-handedly changed my sheets! Haha. Like so crap, because after CNY then change. But before that I didn't sleep in my bed for like 4 nights in a row so no point changing...heh. And didn't help that I was awfully sick on the first 3 days of CNY. Reach Singapore on Sunday (February 18) and just concussed all the way lo.
But nevermind with the illnesses and viruses. Haha. I have got Happy Feet, Mumble with me! Such a pretty bedsheet that I couldn't resist taking a picture. Heh. This one is 250 threadcount okie.
Anyway starring with Mumble is my monkees (as usual!) and the Teddy Bear from the Jeju Teddy Bear Museum! Haha. This is the same bear featured on
Princess Hours also. :)
Okie!! So that's all for my blogging. Heh. I have been knocked out from my sickness for the past week. My flu is quite fierce....no amount of medicine can help. Now there's still some hint of flu. Haiiz. I think I need to drown myself in Vitamin C or something. Heh.

Happy New Year!!!
Isn't these like the cutest things in the world? :)
Taken during my Taiwan trip! Both from different places though. Hee.
Anyway, Happy Chinese New Year people!! Time for lots and lots of good food, like bak kwa, pineapple tarts, kueh bangkit, ferrero roche, and whatever!! Most importantly, it's the ang bao with lots of $$$ (or maybe little, but heck, it's bonus cash!!).
Me is going cruise from 14 Feb till 18 Feb! Heehee. A valentine's cruise, and then a reunion cruise with the relatives! First time marathon-ing for cruise...very exciting! One of the destination includes KL...I'm looking forward to KFC. Haha.

Inanimate Objects
Everyone needs an inanimate object sometimes to cheer them up. What have I got? My monkee!!! :)
Being my monkees quite good life eh, they get to go wherever I go! So they have been to cruises, Genting, Taiwan, Korea...as well as my hotel stays. I am quite attached to them so to say...and they sleep with me every night.
Anyway that's my monkee with my keycard onboard the cruise some time last year. See, we have got a "huat huat" room sia..11088! So lucky. Surprisingly although my mom has been cruising quite a bit, we have never gotten the same room back before! So this was considered lucky I guess. :)
One thing about the ship though. Apart from Deck 4, there are no other number "4" in the whole entire ship! All the dining tables skip the number 4, all the seats in the theatre also skips "4", and even for numbers like 40, 41...it's also excluded. So the numbers are like 39, 50, 51. The lengths they go to avoid this number...so amazing huh.
So I love my monkees a lot! They really cheer me up because of their big wide smile on their faces. I just have to look at them and I feel so happy already. Who cares if I've got a bad/sucky/temperamental day? Seeing my monkees and I feel happy by 50% already. Haha.
I once counted the number of monkee photos I have in my phone, and I am surprised...they take more than 50% of the photos I have (which is around 130/140). People like to take photos of their loved ones/pets/babies. Since I have no pets or babies, so my loved ones are limited to my papa/mama/sis and of course my monkees! Hee.
I know I am being bo liao but it just suddenly occurred to me that I always turn to my monkees when I am upset, sulky or in the "f the world" mode. Then my monkees will somehow be able to cheer me up. So I just realise the importance of having an inanimate object that can cheer you up. Unlike pets who may or may not run away when you are in need of a hug and cuddle, my inanimate objects will always be there for me to rant/cry on and then yet they will still smile at me happily after I'm done. LoL.
My mom calls me a mad person for being so attached to my monkees. I also dunno why. Maybe in my past life I had a pet monkee lo. So now I am just as crazy about my monkees now. Hee.
Anyway, I'm going to highlight my hair later!! So exciting. Hee. My scalp is no longer in pain so I am assuming that it indeed is a pimple on my scalp! Though I don't understand how can that happen because I actually have a very, very dry scalp. -_- I thought pimples thrive on oily skins one?! Or have I been wrong about that?!

Innovationation 2006
Photos from the Innovationation 2006!! Went there on 14th October, which is like, a long time ago. Heh.
The RFID card with the chip that's embedded for us. It's supposed to be our identity card for the whole of the exhibition.
Scanned the card at the stations, and then your name appears! Spot my name? Hehe.
Those were the days where the public phones looked like that.
For World War II, this was the walkie-talkie used. Weighs a ton!! Carrying it around and running is enough to make you faint from exhaustion.
This was the kind of office telephone used in the olden days. Can only link up to 6 extension lines.

2nd exhibition area. Notice the long bobs hanging from the ceiling?
These are the long bobs, they are actually speakers. From it you can listen to little nuggets about technology and devices of the past and today.
One of those stations for us to swipe our card. We are supposed to answer the questions in which answers will be consolidated at the end to profile our attitude towards technology.
In those days, the Apple looked like that. Small and compact!
First laptop ever made. By IBM. Till today, their laptop
still looks like this.
First palm top I think. Looks like our tablet PC these days. Haha.
Then the palm pilot evolved into something like that, with no more keyboard.
Play area. This is a table top game, controlled by infra-red sensors from above. The whole table was just a screen for the projected image, and by playing with the projected image we must push the ball to the respective areas.
Another futuristic exhibition area. Looks awesome!
Exhibition area. This one is for people to listen on experts' views regarding the future of innovation and technology.
The headset provided for you to listen. To activate, pull on the metal ring. I am pretty impressed by the way these gadgets work.
