MIA-ing Away

It's been ages since I have logged in. Well, this can't go on if I want to note down significant bits of my life! Booo~~~ Note to myself: Please update more often! Anyway, I have decided to incorporate smileys into this humble blog of mine because, I think my blog is too plain!!! Help! Not enough photos lor....so I compensate with little smileys. If not I will also get bored reading it. lol~

Anyway. Chalet this time was at Swissotel The Stamford. And it's a good deal because mr clement could exchange his DBS points for the voucher to stay there. So the fare was cheap cheap...only S$150 nett! Although I suspect that the reception may have charged us wrongly... However, we act blur...lol! It's cheap lar, considering it's a 5-star hotel mah. Hehe. Not to mention they also threw in breakfast for 2 the next morning! The breakfast was really good...sumptious spread of food, the normal American breakfast fare plus chinese breakfast. Really really nice and yummy.

This time round, mr clement and I wanted to visit the pool. Didn't know that Swissotel got pool lor...turns out that it's totally hidden from view. It's part of the spa, and so walking in is just like a very nice, tranquil feeling lar. We visited at at night, and wanted to go swim and tan in the morning. However, the 2 of us woke up late (10 AM, to be exact), so we had to rush for breakfast (luckily it lasts till 11!) so in the end we couldn't possibly go swim after breakfast lor. So sad...and add to that we forgot to go down and take photos. Bleah~

Anyway...so much for it. Haha. It's nice to be able to snuggle together in bed at night, watch tv, chit-chat...and then eat tidbits. At home cannot eat in bed one mah. And I can't go over to his house to stay, so well, the only alternative is to have mini getaways like this once in a while. Come to think of it, we have already been to 3 hotel stays this year already. Since I started this attachment of mine, we have even less time to meet lor. He works at night and has his odd off-days mah...how to meet like that? When I'm free, he isn't, when he's free, I'm working. Darn jia lat.

So at least we go book hotel, can sneak a getaway. Tee-hee~ Somemore he has to take leave to accompany me lor. So poor thing. But I happy can liao! Wahaha~ I am an easy-to-please gf mah...just spend time with me I happy liao. Dun have to spend everyday also lar...once every 2 days also can. lol. But spending time with me is expensive lor...I admit it. Heehee~ Must go stay in hotels (5-star? lol~) and must have bubble bath and all that. Ok lar I like hotels and I specifically want hotels only it's because they have bath tubs! then I can nua inside the bath tub and soak and read book...and slack. As for mr clement, he can watch all his cartoons he want, since the hotel will have Cartoon Network for the "child-in-him"!

Well, after that chalet thingy, the next major activity we did was to go Sentosa! It's major because, we, have decided to visit its attractions! That's what so major about it lor. I had this coupon (from Delifrance actually) which allows us to buy a package consisting of 3 major attractions and 1 free drink from Delifrance at the cheap price of S$19.90! So of course we should take advantage of it. Plus those attractions were those that I have been dying to visit for a long long time yah. :)

It's called the Super-Bliss Package, and consists of a free drink from Delifrance (either hot coffee or ice tea), and admission to 3 attractions below:
  • Fort Siloso Tour
  • The Merlion
  • The Carlsberg Sky Tower

Yup! Of the 3, I wanted to visit Merlion and the sky tower! The sky tower is newly built last year, so it's a new add-in to Sentosa. Well, all I can say is, all couples should go have a ride there once! It's really romantic at night...where the tower is all dark and the lights below...plus there's music and the whole enclosure is air-conditioned. Super romantic. Don't take photos though...unless it's of yourself. Because at night the cameras really can't capture the lights that well, and since the whole tower revolves, so the photos just show lines and lines of lights. Like so duh.

To think of it, I think it will be damn romantic if a guy were to propose on that sky tower thing! Haha. And then he must carry a guitar, and serenade the girl, then end it with popping the question and the ring. So romantic sia...and it will be dark all around, with the night scene all around, and then nice pipe-in instrumental music in the background...lol. Okay lar, the guy must see the girl's reaction...so maybe a small yellow light at a discreet area can already. So romantic!!!

Don't think of doing this during the day...I think it will be super unromantic. Because at such a high altitude...all you will be worrying is whether the sun will shine into your eyes and make you blind. There are other venues for popping the question during the day at such high altitudes. In a restaurant perhaps? The area is rather cramp on the sky tower...it's just a row of seats and right in front is the window to look out. So everyone gets to sit and enjoy the view.

Photos later, when I get it from mr clement. Well, I have been gushing quite a bit about the Sky tower, the merlion and fort siloso tour was not bad too! The merlion had a small surprise when we visited it. We each got a gold coin when we entered, and then we were led to a place where there were 6 small merlions, each with a slot in their mouths. So we had to throw our coin into the slots, to get a card. And the card will say that we win either Gift A or Gift B. Well, between clement and I we got an A and a B, so we had 2 different gifts! There was this family of 4 who got 3 As and 1 B. Gift A was a "Merlion" keychain, and B was a Fan. But this fan has a thermometer and a compass on it. Very stylo mylo.

We visited The Merlion in the day, so of course, the sun was beating down on us (really very warm!) and we didn't stay for long also. Took a few shots of the scenery at the top and then we quickly retreated to the gift shop to blow air con. We were both sweating like crazy that day...because of the weather and the fact that we had to walk and walk. It was a good workout I guess.

Anyway the main event of the day that made us sweat non-stop was the Fort Siloso tour! The 2 of us actually visited that place first because it was raining when we reached Sentosa, so since we can't go to the sky tower or the Merlion, might as well go fort siloso. But we were so wrong! The sky had cleared up by the time we reached Fort Siloso, so well, the sun was shining brightly. We were contemplating to go sun-tan instead (we brought all our sun-tan stuffs along) but we thought the Siloso tour will be air-conditioned so we decided to go blow air-con first!

How wrong we were! Only the initial part of the tour was air-conditioned! That was the exhibits on the fall of Singapore. That reminded me of all those past years where I learnt history and had to come to Fort Siloso to look for info for projects. Hehe~ Anyway much of Fort Siloso has changed. The tour is even more fun now, because it's a self-guided tour whereby you go exploring on your own and take a look at how those army recruits stay in the past. A big eye-opener I guess. The last time I went Fort Siloso was probably when I was just 5 years old.

Anyway that tour was a killer! We climbed up climbed down, took lots of wacky photos and then everytime we were sweating too much, we just happened to find an exhibit that's held in an air-con room. LoL~ So just nice, we would take so many mini-breaks so that we can have some cool air. In the end we spent more than 2 hours there. Oh. And since the monorail is now defunct, the stations are turned into something else! The fort siloso station is now a gift shop, and above it, houses the wax museum. Part of the wax museum I mean, because inside is the surrendering of the Japanese during the WWII. That used to be in the wax museum, but now it's incorporated as part of Fort Siloso.

After the Fort Siloso, we went to makan at Delifrance (make use of the free drink coupon mah) and then we went to The Merlion! And after that we decided to tan for an hour plus, so that we can bathe after that. Both of us couldn't tolerate the sweaty sticky feeling we had from running around all day...so the best way is to take a bath. And so we tanned for a while at Tanjong Beach, and then went for a cool, refreshing bath!

After that we went to makan at Sakae Sushi (yes, they have Sakae there now). That's at the Fort Siloso Beach. The whole stretch is suddenly so happening...reminds me of Pasir Ris Park's Fisherman's Village. Much of the beach is still under construction, they have a new covered carpark there, and there's going to be the new Sentosa Express train station there too. Sentosa has changed a lot wor...very different from last year even.

And then after our dinner we went to the Sky tower! And that comes to the end of a wonderful fantabulous day with my darling. It's probably due to good planning...haha. So we ended our evening with a romantic ride up the skies! But hor, stupid clement was busy taking photos even though I told him to stop! He refused to listen and insisted on capturing the scenery with his camera. Really cannot take any photos de...he doesn't believe me. Hmph~ But in the end I suggested that we ask the staff onboard to help us take photos. One sitting and one standing. So there's still a bit of the night sky behind us. So...it was still a little bit romantic lor.

That's the end of my recollection. Well, there had been a few unhappy events lately, but since this blog should be a happier one rather than a morbid one...and since I am relatively happy now, so I shall not write about my unhappiness. Hehehee~

Let's all try to be happy shall we? 15 days till the end of my attachment! Yayyy!

Rave

Happie happie~

1. Clement is going on day shift w.e.f. 16.05.05! That means we can get to see each other a little more often now...

2. My friend is coming with us to BKK! Yay...so that will be 2 couples going yah. :p

3. It's chalet time tomorrow! :)

Okies. A whole lot of happiness this week...partly because got chalet to look forward to, the fact that clement doesn't need to work nights...and my work will be better from now onwards, because the project is more or less done and I don't have to feel constantly so stressed to look busy. Wahahaha~

Really...everytime really damn sian when they ask me do things...especially at 5pm and I end work at 5.30 pm de okay. So to prevent this I try to look busy by 5...so that they have no reason to give me somemore work to do. Tee-hee~ I stayed back on 3 occassions to do OT for them...no extra money de wor. So being the realistic (not materialistic) me, I decided that I will cheong like mad for them during working hours, but after 5.30, I am not going to stay back lor...no point in staying back because all that needs to be done can be done during working hours de mah. Stay back do usually results in more mistakes because you will be tired and then to continue pushing yourself is really like torture lar!

Haven't really been watching movies lately...the increase in movie prices is a strong deterrent. Nowadays I think I would rather get it off the net...but there's also a high possibility that I might get caught. Haha. My friend got caught for downloading once...not by the service provider, but the Universal Studios itself. They sent an email to the service provider and asked them to take action against my friend. And on that email it even stated what he downloaded that day and the total amount of GB he downloaded. Power leh...so bit torrent users, careful lar! Download discreetly (aka 1 or 2 movies) lor. Heh~

Been doing research on my upcoming BKK trip. Haha. For starters, I definitely want to go SPA!! Singapore go too expensive le...so no choice, go Thailand one. Hehe. Like my friend said, go BKk don't keep going shopping only...must relax...haha. And yup...I have short-listed liao...it will be The Aspara (Singapore also have, albeit more ex!), and it will cost 5800 baht for a 2 hour couple spa package. I dunno whether it will be cheaper in Singapore or not. But then it's just an idea lar.

Or else go for those famous Thai massages lor...and scream aiyo aiyo everytime they try to contort my body into some funny shape. lol.

Been wanting to go facial, manicure, pedicure. That's because I have a facial voucher which I bought but haven't use, and also manicure/pedicure voucher which has some discount one...I also haven't use. And I also want to go makeover. lol. That's a hell lot of girly stuffs for an un-girly me. Although I am probably the only attachment girl at work who bother about make-up every morning when I go work. Haha. But I put make-up to work got motive one. I just want to use finish my foundation lar! Haha. Then I can start using my pretty Ettusais foundation which I bought last Dec and have yet to use it. Boo~

My mom went for some Biotherm high-tea the other day and came back with $300+++ worth of Biotherm items. I nearly pengz. Because with that $300+++ worth of items, came 2 handbags and 3 sets of trial samples (very cute!) . So now my house is full of Biotherm stuffs for now. It used to be Shiseido which overruns the place. lol.

Anyway my mom bought those Biotherm stuffs for me lar. Heehee. 2 Celluli-Choc and 1 Abdo-choc. The other time clement bought celluli-choc and abdo-choc for me, still haven't finish lar! Now she buy somemore, really got the motivation to keep using lor...scared spoil mah. Haha. Then she also bought some other stuffs from the anti-aging range of the Biotherm for herself. So that's why ended up spending so much money lar! But I love those bags that came with it. So pwetty. Too bad my mom has got them stashed somewhere...or else I can include some photos in. :)

Time to go for a bath! And pack for chalet. Tee-hee~

Plansssss

Ok, after much deliberating and thinking, clement n I have decided.

We shall go for chalet next week.

We shall go Bangkok in June.

We shall go Genting in July.

Yipee! So happie. Because I have been nagging about going overseas after this attachment of mine. I simply need a breath of fresh air...

Chalet was mr clement's idea. he finally felt bad about neglecting me ever since he came back from aussie. (Yah lor!) But since he's planning and paying for it...haha...i forgive him. LoL! And actually we wanted to go bangkok in july...but clement got mobilisation (aka reservist?!) so have to standby in Singapore and waiiiiit. Bleah. So we decided to go in June lor. And leave july for Genting (because Genting must after school hols go then cheaper). Yup...so for no reason, we got Genting in the picture lor. Wahahaha.

Anyway it's been a long time since clement got reservist...I was telling him probably the army finds him useless so no point getting him down. My friends have been going back almost every holiday sia!!! But I'm quite happie he got reservist lar! Because like that income tax can claim relief mah (3000 instead of 1500 only...) It helps that he can claim relief here and there...since parents cannot claim, got no family so children cannot claim...and then he has to pay so much taxes...bleah...

The other day I was at clement's place, I was sorting all his unopened letters...then I found this very official-looking letter, with the word "On Government Service" on the envelope. And so I was telling him...at long last, they have decided he is important enough to be called for reservist liao. He was dreading it...so he asked me to open...hahaha. In the end...I opened, took out the letter, and it says:

"Congratulations! You are now officially a member of Social Development Unit
(SDU) ... ... ... "

We both peng after that. LoL! I never knew that SDU was so official under government leh. And neither did he. Haha. And then under the SDU were all the classes/courses they offer...and then clement was tempted to join liao. -_-!! So I told him go ahead and join lor. Anyway he's only Single, Desirable but Unavailable okies. Wahahaha. I must remind him that. LoL!

~*~*~*~*~

Anyway, pics time! Haven't been updating because I'm simply too lazy lar. Hehe. :p And I recently have been playing my Sims 2 again! LoL~ Time to continue my family lor... haha.

So my Jesslyn Junior and Clement Junior has grown up! LoL~

Jesslyn Junior Growing Up...

Clement Junior Growing Up (Teenager le wor.)

So now Clement Jr is like a big man liao! Haha. Some weird things though. My house's mailbox has disappeared! Which means I cannot pay any bills from now on...sad sad. It's also quite ridiculous lar. So now have to build another brand new house for the 4 of them lor. Haiiz. And I dun want the Jesslyn and Clement to die...so I kept making them drink Exlixir of life. LoL~ I think they will continue drinking even though their kids turn old and die lor. Hahaha. Really leh. Clement specially chose his own character...from the face shape to the clothes...so I dun want it to disappear! Hehe.

Anyway I have got Sims 2 University le! Not installed yet...but will do it soon. Can't wait! It will be the key thing to get me hooked onto my computer game again. Wee~~~

~*~*~*~*~

My mom recently went for a Shiseido Cooking Class (didn't know they have that!). She came back with a free Tefal pan, and a tin of Shiseido Butter Cookies! The butter cookies are really special wor...because they were air-flown from Japan, from the Shiseido Parlour. Didn't know got such thing also. Anyway the packaging was really nice...and very classy.

Shiseido Cookies

They taste real yummy too! Hehe. So, in my mom's opinion, going for that class was very very de worth it ah. Hahaha. We finished it on the 2nd day...and so I guess...either the next cooking class or maybe when we finally go Japan, then can eat it again liao.

So much for an update. LoL~ I shall install University first then say. Teehee~

Happie May Day

Today is 05-05-05! Such a nice date. Hahaha. So it's also known as the.... May Day! (Self-proclaim sia)

Talking about dates I always thought that if I do ever get married one day, I must marry on a special date! like 09-09-09, or 08-08-08, sounds very auspicious and very nice right? Hahaha. If I marry on 2008 or 2009....it will be just nice lor. Supposed to be of marriageable age mah. LoL~ So before 2010 comes (10-10-10 doesn't seems as good leh), I have to get myself married off lor! Wahahaha.

Realised my previous post was a wee tat egoistic. Having PMS mah...thinking of all sorts of nonsense lately. As I always say, my imagination just runs wild when the pink days are drawing near. It's not that I want, it's just that, I can't control! Anyway I suddenly remembered that I DO know someone who's like me, just that she's even better than me lar. So if it's between us only, she will win hands-down lar. hehe. But it's okay lar. I am happy being me.

I know enough and am independent enough to do most things myself, so that's good. I don't like the feeling of having to rely on someone else for a simple task like getting a new hard drive for my computer...or installing a new DVD-rom. I can hands-on! And I can do it the way I want it. It's quite funny, the other time I was fixing up this new computer of mine, clement wanted to help. But since I know what's happening and I want to do things MY way, I refused to let him touch a single thing lor. So he just sat there, held my tools and watched me. LoL~ Yay...girl power yah! :p

Oh yah, 03 May was me and clement's 2nd year anniversary. So fast! We've tolerated each other for 2 years liao ah. Haha. that's because clement was telling me he used to think that anniversaries are boh liao...becoz it's like counting the number of days that the couple has tolerated each other. -_- This kind of thing also can think until like that. Depends mah. Some couples love to celebrate every month. Some couples prefer it half-yearly. And as for me and clement, apart from the 1st month, we only celebrate on the real day lor...

Sad hor. Anyway we also didn't had a chance to celebrate our 2nd year anniversary. We went out the day before (2 May) and then had dinner at Spageddes, and then after that we go shopping lor. The only probable difference was that I gave him a pressie lar. It's like an anniversary gift for him lor. And guess what? He actually admitted he bought my pressie like 15 mins before he met me. Bleah. How nice of him yah.

But it's okay lar. He already spent lots of money buying stuffs for me when he went Aussie liao mah. Haha. I didn't take a photo of the pressie I gave him though. It's a wire-namestand lar. Got it made in Bugis one fine day while walking past the shop. Actually I got motive one! Hahaha. Give him namestand hor, so that he can put in office. And everyone will know that his girlfriend gave that to him one...so....if got any female colleagues have any funny ideas, they should think twice lor. LoL~

So evil of me right. Haha. If not his colleagues dunno of my existence sia.

Oh. And every night/day when clement goes to work, he will definitely see it and it will remind him of me. Wahahaha. That's the most important part okay. Since he don't like to put photos (he must always act cool...bleah), so the namestand is the next most probable thing he can put on his office table lor. Haha.

Anyway 2nd May was our official celebration date because on 3rd May he was stuck in office till 8.30pm lar. Haiz. Somemore it was supposed to be his off day de...but he couldn't get away lor. And for some reason I was especially whiny that day...so I whined and whined (via sms) that we meet...and so he said he would rush home straight after his meeting and then get the car to drive down to meet me. So happy.

And so we met for supper lar! Hehe. And since my pink days are coming, my appetite was exceptionally good. It seemed like I ate 2 dinners lor. -_- Hopefully my metabolism increased (because of pink days) so that everything I ate can digest lor.

Have been feeling quite happy about us lately, it's like, we are just falling into this steady rhythm whereby we both complement each other, and I'm feeling pretty good. I'm glad that between the 2 of us, we still have our own space to do our own things, and so when we meet, the time spent together is really quality, because we want to be around each other...not because we have to.

Been talking to a friend of mine, realise that he always spends his weekends with his girl. Not that it's no good, but in a long run this arrangement tends to have its side-effects lar. I won't elaborate on their problems, but in some way, I learnt that being in a couple, both sides have to give and take lor. The guy cannot always be the one giving, because no matter how wonderfully patient he is, there will come to this point called the "breaking point" lor, because guys still have an awful strong sense of pride and that egoistic streak in him one lar.

Anyway with this same friend, we have had lots of debates on marriage, co-habitation, LDR...haha...so on and so forth. For once it's nice to have someone of the opposite gender to talk about all these issues with, because my dearest clement is so-not for talking this kind of thing with lor. And of course can get to know what the opposite gender is thinking about and what things matter to them actually lar.

So fun. Hehe. Nice to have him around to entertain me during the long work hours and then challenge me mentally when we get into such debates. If not staring at wires/papers/computers all day will give me a super big headache lar!!!

And both of us are students of the Mars and Venus book lor! Hahaha. We both agreed that after reading that book we tend to realise certain things and learn to "see open" liao. Haha. It helped greatly for me, and this relationship between me and clement lar. If not I think we both will haywire until dunno where liao also. LoL~

Realise I very lor soh. Haha. Better go bathe and sleep le. But I so sad! I couldn't get my 10 seasons of friends! So sad so SAD! >.<
