Egoistic Post

Was lying on the bed thinking about me at large...and my life at large...and my relationship at large. LoL~ I suddenly thought.... I am a damn bloody great girlfriend to have.

So cheesy of me right? :p

Let me list the things why I think I am so good.

First, I am domesticated...when I want to. I clean the floors, wash the clothes, iron the clothes, pack the house, mend my clothes...the typical things that housewives do too. I fix things around the house when they are damaged or worn. But I don't really know how to cook...but I'm learning a lot now...because I have to cook on weeknights when my parents aren't in. So I experiment with stuffs here and there lor.....

Second, I am IT-savvy enough...I can tell the difference between a motherboard and a CPU (many girls don't), I can fix up a computer on my own, I can do troubleshooting on the computer when it freaks on me, I know enough to edit a midi file and make it into a ringtone to send to my mobile, I know how to fix all my pictures so that it looks good....my html were self-thought before programs such as Frontpage came to life.

Third, I am artistically inclined enough (I think). LoL~ I joined a choir, watched and understand musicals, and I play the piano. And not just normal classical pieces...I can compose, I can improvise on music...I can listen to a song on radio once and play it on the piano...chords and all. The only not-so-good part is that my sight-reading is like shit. Hahaha.

Fourth, I am a perfect girlfriend. I don't whine when the boyfriend doesn't speak to me on the phone everynight. I am independent enough to do things on my own when the boyfriend isn't free. I do not nag at the boyfriend over the slightest little things he does (ie. stare at the TV even when I am talking to him). I do not expect him to keep me company at all times. I give him his own space and time to do the things he want to do. I even encourage him to spend more time with his friends. I do not make any demands on him which I know will put him in a difficult spot.

Such a long list! So far among all my female friends I have never met another exactly like me. Among all my friends I'm always the one who is most IT-savvy and the one who is most sensible of the lot. Someone told me I might just scare away any potential boyfriends because I am too powerful for them. LoL~ But I'm not.

For too long, I didn't have a boyfriend. For too long, I had to do everything myself. All that I know now was acquired from the days I didn't have a boyfriend. I asked, probed, learnt from others around me. And these are the things I will have for now, and forever. Too bad for the guys who were scared away by my powerful-ness lorrrr.

But hor...I got a few things which I am not "there" yet lar. I cannot drive. Haha. And I don't look polished at all times. In other words, I don't look perfect. Perfect I mean by: Earrings that match your clothes that match your shoes that match your bag. And having a good hair with a perfect make up on at all times. And I mean at all times...even when you are doing sports okay.

So if I finally get my licence and also learn a bit more on how to doll myself up...I will be a perfect girlfriend to have liao lar! LoL~~~ By then nobody will want me liao. boohoohoo~

Anyway I think clement must be damn fortunate to have me lar. LoL~ I value-added him so much in his life ok. I introduced him to anime webbies and taught him how to download to watch. I taught him how to fix his computer when it haywires a lot. I gave him the software he needed when he re-formated his computer. I introduced him to plays and brought him to one when I knew he would enjoy it. I gave him my full support when he couldn't find a job and was so down. And after he got a job, I advised him how to plan his finances, that he should buy insurance policies, and invest in some shares that looked good.

I am sooo great. And thinking about it, his value-addedness to me is like so little compared to from me to him. He only complements me on 1 thing: He drives while I don't. Hahaha. So no choice lor. But we both are too slack to look polished. And guess what? After seeing that his colleague had a so-polished girlfriend, he said it would be good if I am like her.

What's the point? If the girlfriend looks good but you look so slack yourself, people will think that you look sooo mismatched man. And if you are so slack, no polished person will bother looking at you also lar...not to say fall for you larrrrrr.

That's why a male friend of mine...always told me to go tell clement count his blessings and better start treating me better and treasure me more.

Wahahahaha~

Constipated

I've been constipated for the past week. It's not good at all...because I just feel bloated and disgusting and no matter what I do my tummy is always there!!!

I want a nice flat tummy can.

So this afternoon I was asking for ideas how I can be un-constipated naturally. My friend suggested banana, or papaya...because it works everytime. But I have no banana or papaya at home leh... So he said or else I should just down 1Litre of milk, for instant relief of consitpation. -_- I don't like to drink milk leh...though I am still trying to drink more often now.

But hey! Must be the very spicy instant noodles I made just now for dinner. I am un-constipated now! Yay. :p Now I know...spicy stuffs works for me yah. Hehehe~

Anyway today I was forced to do an extra hour of work. :( Everyone left by the time I was allowed to go. Even those who always OT one!!! So I told my technician-supervisor that I think I will go back too. My attire today made me feel so uncomfortable climbing up and down. (I am a technician today ok.) Was wearing jeans and a turtle-neck top. I hate climbing up and down when I am wearing jeans. So uncomfortable leh...and not to mention my turtle-neck top lar. Lazy me haven't been ironing my own clothes for the past 3 weeks so I am running out of clothes to wear for work.

Why I can't just wear shorts and a spag stripe to work huh!?! (Like go beach like that. lol) At least I won't mind climbing up and down and doing all those wiring and stuffs lar. So comfortable!!!

But I can't. I recently noticed that there are lots of lechers around...and all the disgusting perverts aroound too. Especially at the hardware area where I am working now. The way they stare at you is enough to make you cringe lor. And when you walk from left to right, their heads follow you from left to right. And when you are blocked by something from their view, they will stick their heads out just to stare. wtf!!! It has been happening for the past 2 weeks liao...but it was not that bad because I was doing the computer stuffs so I was seated 90% of the time. So even if they stare also got nothing to stare lor.

But these days are really darn irritating lar! There are 2 of them, and now 1 of them is position strategically beside female toilet so that everytime we go to the toilet, sure can see one. -_-!! Cannot tahan cannot tahan!!! The other time I got so pissed I was imagining all sorts of things I would like to do to them. Dig all their balls out - eyeballs included - and hang it on a coconut tree. LoL~ Or else I was wondering whether they will still stare if I were dressed like a nun instead...complete with the head gear. Haha~ That one really made me LoL while meddling my stuffs...such a funny picture.

The best way to deal with them, I guess, is to ignore them. BUT, I not happy leh. Somemore now as attachment students, cannot complain, later they think I am trying to be difficult. Maybe on the last day I will go up to him and give him a piece of my mind. Or maybe I will just show him the third finger. Like that I also will be happy.

What's wrong with all the guys nowadays!! Why are they so lecherous and so perverted! Anyone in skirt they will sure stare like there's no tomorrow. So desperate and so deprived ah. Bleah~

On a happier note, clement subscribed cosmopolitan for me! Yayyy! So happie. So I don't have to go buy from Borders every month liao...I can wait patiently at home for my copy to come...all the way from US! And best of all, it's cheaper than buying from Borders lor.

I must stop this bad habit of reading foreign magazines. It costs too much. Just because I am earning a little bit, so I am spending liao...haiz~ Cosmo shall be my only magazine from now on. tee-hee~

That's all for rants...and how time flies! It's going to be me and clement's 2nd Anniversary coming next Tuesday. He won't be working then, but I will be! Haiiiz. Should I try to ask for leave from my supervisor? Then I can go Sentosa also. I badly want to visit that Carlsberg Tower leh....

And last happy thing....I finished my IA report le!!! Yayyyy. No more sleepless nights worrying that my professor may just pop by my company the next day. Hahaha. My dearest prof is going for holiday in mid-May and so he wants us to hand in the report early early! It's okay lar, better get it over and done with also. Hehe.

Just Rants...

So sad can. I didn't managed to get the FYP project I have been eyeing! Haiz. Actually it's quite suay lar, because the 1st project, the professor forgot that he can only approve 2 projects even though he has 3...so me and my partner wanted the 3rd one, of course cannot get it lar. And then the 2nd one, the project scope actually involves carrying things and doing lots of manual work. And not to mention, a driving license lor. Since me and my partner are both girls, and we both don't drive, so totally no chance lor. -_-!! Maybe her pre-requisite should put "males preferred". *lol*

Anyway, my partner and I will have to rely on ballot now lor. Hopefully 1st round will get. If not also darn jia lat sia. *pray hard*

That's for the rants. As for work, everything is pretty good, except that I don't have time to write reports lar! Haiz. It's quite troublesome because I don't want to do it at home...it's only in office where I can access intranet and retrieve information I need. Or else have to save here save there very ma fan. But right now I have no chance to do my report because my current supervisor has things for me to do...and of course I can't say no.

It's pretty okay actually, other than the troublesome fact that I have to change into safety shoes every time I go to the workshop, I have no complaints. Hehe. Because I have all the freedom to do whatever I want! LoL~ Was chatting with a friend at work for the whole day today...damn fun. And then we sneaked off to tea-break in the afternoon too. Happy happy. No one cares anyway...

On Sunday I went to watch Boeing Boeing, a play by Wildrice Productions. It was very very good!!! Even till now I still keep thinking about it and I wanted to watch it again. Me and mr clement bought the most expensive tix, since we had a 10% discount mah. And it was worth all the money! It's 2 hours of fun, laughter, and more laughters.

The play is about this bachelor with 3 air-stewardess fiancees, whom are from 3 different air lines. They are from 3 different air lines so that the 3 of them will never meet, and they will be in Singapore at different days of the week to accompany him. Of course this bachelor we are talking about is a very eligible bachelor lar, got a lot of money, and also a maid! So thanks to his faithful maid, he never mixes up the timing when the girls are going to arrive. And so the girls never knew each others' existence.

However one fine day the girls all have a change into a schedule, and it led to all 3 fiancees touching down in Singapore at the same time! And so the fun begins...his good friend from Kuching came down to look for him, only to find out that he had to help the bachelor cover his ass when the 3 of them came to the house.

This play is very good because the cast is simply splendid. The JAL stewardess speaks like a Japanese, the Cathay Pacific stewardess speaks like a pure Hong Kee. And the Miss SIA is slightly exaggerated, but very funny nevertheless. And of course not to mention the rest of the cast who manages to keep the play going without feeling too draggy.

Totally enjoyed the 2 hours of the play man. I don't regret it and neither does clement. Actually I was a bit apprehensive about asking him along because I know he isn't the type to watch plays and well, neither am I, but since I read reviews of it and all of it was good, I decided to go watch lar! And since I need a companion, might as well drag clement down. Time to inject some artistic cells into him. Tee-hee~

And so after this, I think we are both game for more plays and musicals perhaps? LoL~ Maybe lar...though I think musicals are a bit heavy, and I think he will be bored. Must find funny stuffs, then we can both enjoy it lor.

Yup yup. That's a splendid Sunday together with him I might say. That's because it's the 1st time we were both dressed sooo nicely okay. I looked "polished" at last, and he looked quite good himself too. If not usually I will be in short skirt, spag stripes, and then a pair of sandles...looking so slack, and of course he will be in berms and slippers which is even slacker than me lar.

Wonder why when people go to the theatre they dress up. It's some sort of un-written code or something...hmmm~

In-retrospect

I've been trying to write my attachment report lately...and it's kinda surprising how many things I have done in the short 4 months of work.

I've been a personal assistant, a secretary, a purchaser, a technician, and now lately, I am IT-support.

So stylo right! Muahaha. It's kinda funny how much one can do when manpower is so limited. But I guess all these adds variety to an other-wise boring office job bah. Quite glad that I had the chance to do so many things...except that it's really the people that made me feel rather sian.

Like my sup alwiz says...people leave their superior, not the company. If the superior is good, people are more than willing to stay. But if the superior is no good, people are just waiting for the right time to run. I believe this is what's happening to a lot of people in office too...the turn-over rate is just too high lar...

~*~*~

Anyway I lately got a brand new computer, installed a 160GB hard disk so that I can play games like no one business...but now it seems like it's new, and I don't feel like doing anything to tarnish it. Isn't that weird? It's like when you buy something new you tend to keep it and keep it...until the day you buay tahan anymore and you boh bian have to use it.

Now I still can't bear to install all sorts of crap...argh. How how how...silly me...

~*~*~

As for relationship stuffs...things are really weird and odd. I guess it's after he went overseas and came back with all those things, I suddenly felt the urge to tell him what I feel.

And what I felt was nothing very promising...maybe now he knows that he loves me even more...but I felt that I didn't love him as much already. I've been keeping it to myself for the past 2 months or so...because I didn't know what to tell him.

Suddenly it became clear already...and I felt like I have to tell him, because if I don't, it would be really selfish on my part. And so I did. We spent like 2 hours talking...

In actual fact, I lost all my feelings for him somewhere along the way...and it all started because I was naive. I always thought we would be together...now and forever...that sort of thing, and even though he isn't the type to give promises, I thought he will one day tell me that. However, one fine night we were chatting, and I asked him about his future (Or our future?) and all his answer was really just he, himself, and him. And I asked whether did anything included me...he said no...That broke my heart...I didn't know why either, but that's what I felt after what he said. From that minute onwards, I felt like I had been shaken awake from a little dream of mine...a dream where me and him will be happily ever after and all.

I was sad for a while...well, probably 1 whole night...I remembered that night I kept crying...non-stop. I even awoke in the middle of the night and felt tears running down...that was how bad it was. Thinking back, it's really odd, because it was not as if we broke up or what. But maybe it's that rude awakening for that dream I had with me for the past 1 yr plus...that really shook me deeply.

But the next morning, all was okay. Everything was back to normal. I met him, and we were back to normal. I didn't let him know of the reason, although he did know I cried. It was the point where I started drifting away from him.

I no longer yearned to meet him during his off-days. I no longer thought of calling him or asking him to call me. I no longer enforced my rule of chatting once a day. I no longer thought of him as someone I see in my future too. It was from then on, I decided to take things between us day by day. And as days go pass...his presence in my future diminished as well. I no longer thought of him already...

The last straw came when he insisted on going Aussie. "Go lor," was what I thought. I no longer thought of dissuading him from going. In fact, for once, I was quite happy to see him go. That gave me time to think things through.

And think things through I did. I thought of him and me, our future...getting married and all. I couldn't imagine that at all, and I even thought if we get married, ROM will do...who cares about the tradiational wedding dinner and all. And then on further thinking, I realised I didn't want to marry him at all. I can't imagine living with him for the rest of my life...

It's weird, because at this point in time, I am drifiting away like crazy, he comes along and tell me we'll be together...always. He kept telling me I will be his future XXXX and that he wish he could have me by his side always. And not to mention, the gifts he brought home from his Aussie trip. And that was when I told him all that had been going through my head these few months.

For once, I was calm. I wasn't the naive Jesslyn anymore. I finally tasted the feeling of broken-heartedness, and I finally understood that some things cannot be made to order. I wanted his committment and his promise, but he couldn't give it to me. I wanted his assurance that he will be around always...but he couldn't give it to me. He couldn't give me all I wanted...and yet I was silly enough to stand by him for so long.

But just when I have packed and I'm ready to leave, he came along and gave me all I ever asked for, and more. How? Do I take the chance to try? Or do I leave him as he is and go?

The feelings are still there, although not as strong as before. I don't feel safe enough to open up to him anymore...my defenses are up this time, and it's like a fortress, because I know he's trying his best to get to me...yet I feel like I'm on the inside listening, but there's no stirring within me to want to go to him.

I told him truthfully, all that's been going on. And all the turmoil within me. He finally realised. And he finally understood. Things that used to matter to me (friends, relatives) no longer do. I am not bothered by whether I meet his friends or relatives or even family or not. Now I just want my time to do my things, my space to do my things, my freedom to do my things. I feel like he's just someone "extra" in my life...this time round. (I felt like the "extra" in his life...for a long time already)

He wants to win me back. He wants me to fall for him all over again. And he just wants to have this chance to do so. I am willing to give him that chance, I am willing to be won over too. I want to fall for him all over again...to know that, this time it's for real.

Time will tell whether he succeeds. :)

Ta-Dah!

mr clement was Down Under for the past 2 weeks. oh well, so that means we had a Long-Distance Relationship for the last 2 weeks lor.

Surprisingly it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be...lol~ Not used to not seeing him for an extended period of time mah...the longest without meeting should be 6 days? Anyway, I was too tired everyday to worry that much...in fact I felt quite happy because I don't have to spend time with him. bad girlfriend! boo~

We finally met on Thursday, and he came to my house with 2 big bags...of things for me! Not to mention my family lar...

These things are mine. Isn't that amazing?

He bought a soft toy for my sis, a lotion for my mom and my dad a tee. Oh, and 1 kg of nougats to go along.

And the rest of the stuffs he brought over are as above lor. Total count:
3 skirts
8 tops
1 Esprit bag
1 Cosmo magazine
1 Biotherm Abdo-Choc

Apart from the Abdo-Choc, which I specifically asked him buy at the Changi Duty Free, the rest were unexpected gifts. Hehe.

Isn't that sweet of him? LoL~ Anyway he said all these are as good as free, because all are sponsored by the Aussie's casinos lor....

I must thank the casino for letting mr clement win enough $ to splurge so much on me. Muahahaha. :p

Cheers~

Finally!

Finally! I have got a new computer.

Finally! My computer works this time round.

Finally! I can no need to worry about my spoilt computer.

Finally! I can type on blogger using my new computer.

And I have several deadlines upcoming....so bothersome!!! -_-
1. I need to write my attachment report.
2. I need to look for 10 project choices for my FYP.

The thing is, I have 500 choices to choose from and I have no time to sit down and look through because I have no net access in company.

So sad right! We attachment students are really the lowest on the packing order lor...everything we also come last...or else we don't get it at all....what to do?

My friend was saying that we are probably the best asset in the company...lowly paid, highly-skilled workers. I definitely agree man...it sounds absurb but it's true towards a certain extent. Where else can you find someone who can understand the program and do the required stuffs within 3 hours? And the permanent staff who actually asked the student to do it, cannot do a proper job himself too.

Er. I think the student should be paid higher lor. Not to mention, for every one of us working in the company, the school actually pays the company. Isn't that wonderful? To the company, it's everything to gain and nothing to lose! The last I heard, we are only worth $20 in their eyes. That's the extra that the company has decided to pay us.... -___-

And we are worked, worked, and overworked by everyone else...we are ordered around and ordered to do mundane stuffs....again, over again, and again, and somemore...

Please understand my reluctance in returning to that godforsaken place. Grrr. I can't wait for my attachment to end!!! >.<

4th Day ... the Last Day...

Well, actually on the last day didn't do much, because we were busy packing to check out, so that we can go out for somemore last-minute shopping lor. Didn't take much photos...I think we were too busy sussing out the shopping than to think about taking photos...hehe.

Nevertheless, shots of me at the hotel with our "lugguage"

The left one is of me at the corridor in our room, and the other one is the lift lobby on our floor lor. Well, that's clement's bag actually...which held both our things when we came, but can barely hold all of clement's shopping/clothes when we left. Hehe. Luckily I suggested we bring another bag along...I was right. :p In the end I had to transfer all the stuffs to my bag so that we both can go home with a bag each. (We arrived with that trolley bag between the 2 of us. *grins*)

Anyway as I mentioned on the "1st day post", I wanted to include pictures of the monorail interior...well, I only found 1, which is of the driver's seat. At that point when I took the picture we were at the "back" of the monorail, so got no driver lar...so I go take photo lor... Heehee...

That's the view we have lar. Anyway we took the monorail to the shopping area in KL...I think it's near the Times Square I mentioned in the previous posts. Seriously bad memory..now that it's after 3 months since our tour. Heehee. I only remembered Sungei Wang station...or was it a shopping centre? Heh~ I think I need to go see the map again.

Here's a picture of the monorail station lor. It is different because there is actually an overhead bridge over the tracks inside the station! Their monorail got 2 tracks mah, so if you enter from the shopping centre on the left but you want to take the monorail on the right, you have to use the overhead bridge to cross over lor...that's the only way.

Anyway! We went shopping around that area...and to our delight, there were many things to shop! The shopping centre itself is half-Far East Plaza and half-Sim Lim Square...so there were lots of computer gadgets stores, plus a lot of funky punky stores. Most importantly...we realised that there were lots and lots of pirated DVD movies!!! Sssshhh. Heehee. It sells cheap too...3 DVDs for a mere RM10.00. After division and conversion, 1 DVD costs only S$1.50! Cheap cheap eh...and it plays...so no worries. Haha.

Not only DVD movies are cheap...Playstation 2 games too yah. They have thick catalogues of it for you to choose...and it's almost as cheap as the DVD movies..but I think it's 1 piece for about RM4.00. But it's cheap lar....lol~

After woo-ing and wah-ing at the DVDs, we decided to visit all those funky shops le lor. It's like Far East Plaza on a Sunday...so crowded, so cramped, so we of course couldn't take pictures lar. Anyway I really didn't feel like buying stuffs because so crowded leh, and anyway there were nothing much that caught my attention...but clement had a whale of time shopping...bought some sort of chinese-character tee-shirt which cannot be found in Singapore lar...

Our flight was around 8.45pm lor, so by 6 we returned to the hotel to collect our lugguage, and clement proceeded to squeeze and squash all his shopping in lar. Me on the other hand, felt so paiseh, because it's weird opening your lugguage up for everyone to see leh. Haha. Then the whole world will know whether you happened to take some of the hotel shampoos/amenities or not... (which we did anyway. wahaha~)

Last look at the KL Sentral Station! FYI we took the KLIA Express lor...which will bring us to the airport in 28 minutes. Much better than taking cab since we will be subjected to traffic conditions. At least this is a dedicated train journey yah. :)

That's me before boarding the train. Actually the train was already there...but we didn't know because we thought there were no trains. -_- For some reason the tunnel is longer than the length of the train, so we had to walk on before we saw the train with its open doors and all. Luckily we walked on...if not would have missed the train, which would probably make us late for check-ins and all.

Anyway since both of us were darn tired by now, we just slept through the whole of the 28 minutues of the train ride...but at least this time it was dusk...still can see the scenary and all. When we arrived on the 1st day it was already at night liao...everywhere around us is black and dark...couldn't see a thing at all lor...

We had time to admire the scenary, sleep, relax our tired feet after walking/shopping the whole day. Oh. I think we even walked all the way to KL Planet Hollywood just to buy souvenirs. How duh we got. Heehee.

So when we reached the airport, we were quite glad...hehe. The timing is quite important lar...scared got delays and all that. Somemore the train only moves at 15 minutes interval. Plus the journey, may end up in delays lor. I am always getting paranoid over these kind of little details...scared we will not get on the plane, scared got no room to stay...that's me lar. So in the end I always end up rushing clement...haha. But luckily he didn't mind lor. :) We checked in first, the counter just opened mah. So kiasu. Heehee. Then we had dinner at KFC (think tender chicken) and then wondered whether we should go through customs or not lar.

In the end we decided to because the previous few times I came Malaysia I always got stuck at the customs lor...either the queue was very very long or maybe someone just happened to forget something and then hold up the whole queue...quite sway...so better early than late. Anyway last time I took the plane back, was darn exciting lor, the moment I stepped on the plane, sit down, buckled, the aeroplane started to taxi out liao...we were the last passengers to board! OMG. Heehee.

That's mr clement posing at the KLIA skytrain. Or was it called the LRT? This is the train which, after we had finished our check-in and customs, we have to take so that we can go to our boarding gate lor. So troublesome right? But it's the way they built the airport...supposingly the other "terminal" is for international flights only, the terminal with all the customs are more for internal flights lor. For some reason, it didn't occur to them to build another customs at the other terminal, so that we don't have to worry about missing our flight just because we couldn't get on the LRT also lor...

Actually something very funny happened on our flight back lor. Mr clement decided that the JAL stewardess very pretty...so ask me to take photo of him and 1 of them... -_- Sian until cannot sian. Hahaha....I took for him lor...then because no flash, I guess the picture was a bit blur...then he ask me is it on purpose de...haha...it wasn't, I swear...I just happened to have shakey hands that's all...not my fault. His camera lousy. :p

And hor, after he took photo with the stewardess, later on the plane the stewardess was passing Singapore immigration cards, asked him if he needed 1 also...he said no need...kao...they were speaking in Japanese lor... -_- And as I have mentioned before, clement looks like a Japanese when he doesn't open his mouth and when he spoke to the stewardess in Japanese, she mistaken him for 1 also lor. Bleah~ Like, so duh! Hahaha..so even when the stewardess had this very confused look, he just smile at her lor. Haha...

Then when we went off the plane, again, the stewardess at the exit told me "thank you" and then spoke to clement in Japanese when he walked behind me lor...He must have fooled them all...hahaha...this stewardess is a Singaporean stewardess, no less, so even she can't recognise that he isn't a Japanese.

All in all...the whole trip was quite fun, very luxurious, very enjoyable...and full of unexpected ironies lar! LoL~ And it all stemmed from mr clement looking like a Jap... -_- So what that makes me huh?!

Signing off~

3rd Day in KL

Here's the 3rd day of KL...but nothing really much, because we spent the whole day in KLCC, never go anywhere else, actually got nowhere else near KLCC to go also, because around the buildings are all office towers (think Shenton Way) so it's just a shopping haven. :)

But first, my monkeys!!! Heehee.

Yup, we got our tix from Zuji, because they have the best rates for air tix to KL lar. At first we thought can take budget airline from Singapore to KL, but it turns out that no budget airline flies to KL lor. So surprising...so in the end we had to settle for a normal airline, and Japan Airlines offered the cheapest rates. S$168 to be exact, including taxes. And must have 2 persons flying together then can get this rate. Compared to air tix to Bangkok and elsewhere, it's really quite expensive lar...

But no choice, because I don't want to take bus there, and we weren't sure about the train thingy, and since clement had to work the night before, it definitely made more sense to travel by air so that he can rest before going over mah. :) Anyway Zuji's service is very good! After clement booked the tickets, the next morning an operator from Zuji called him up to confirm his details, and then they confirmed his ticket and sent it to his doorstep 3 days after! So fast and efficient sia...haha. :)

Anyway, on the 3rd day, we originally wanted to go to Petronas Towers, but in the end we didn't know we had to queue for tickets early in the morning (the towers opens at 10.30 lor) so we only set off much later...so in the end, no tickets and no Petronas Towers to go lar! But we took a different mode of transport...it's a train, but it's different from the monorail one, and like our SBS Transit's NEL line, it doesn't have a driver too.

This is the picture of the KL Sentral Station. It looks like a shopping centre actually. But in the basement, there's the express train (which we took from the airport to here) and then there's the normal train (which runs from Singapore to various states before ending at KL here) and then there's this passenger train that brings you around KL. However, like our MRT here, they also have many many lines, so have to be careful which line you hop on to, if not you will find yourself somewhere else rather than the intended destination lar.

This is the platform, while waiting for the train. It's funny how everyone here in Singapore complains that the platforms all should have safety bars so that people won't fall onto the tracks. Look at the one in KL, its platforms doesn't have safety bars too, and to add to that, the trains are driver-less. Isn't it like, more dangerous?

I still strongly believe that everyone should be vigilant and take care of themselves while waiting for trains at the platforms lar. We can have safety bars too but in the end when somebody bangs into a safety bar and hurt themselves people will complain that the safety bars are a hazard and want it removed also. What's the point man?

Anyway. Hehe. Enough of that "preaching" thingy. LoL~ When we alighted from the train we had to walk through the underground passway to the Petronas Towers and KLCC lor. The Petronas Towers are just beside KLCC, so both are within walking distance. And anyway, that's when we realised that we couldn't go up the tower because we did not have tix lar. So sad.

This are 2 shots of the Petronas Towers were taken while standing from opposite the road. It's quite hard to take man, because the towers are so tall, so we had to cross the road. Then after we cross the road we have to wait until the traffic are relatively cleared so that can take a nice shot. So this is what we got in the end.

Anyway, since we couldn't get the tix for the towers, in the end, we decided to watch movie in KLCC lor. Have been wanting to watch movie in Malaysia because the tickets are very cheap lar! RM10.00 only...it's not even the cost of the cheapest movie tickets in Singapore. Hehe. So we decided to buy tix to Meet the Fockers, since clement haven't watch it yet. :) I watched it already though, because of the christmas-eve outing I had with my friends. But anyway, I have to accompany mr clement to watch, and there were no other movies, so we watched it lor...

We watched at Tanjong Golden Village (as shown in the picture), which is the only cinema we could find in the city of KL. You would be surprised, that not every shopping centre has a cinema. Unlike here, whereby there are usually 3 cinemas within any 5km radius. Hehe.

They have Kinokuniya too! Hehe. Familiar brand names...they also have Royal Sporting House, Mango (I have said it's too ex for words anyway), Body Shop...blah blah.... The usual shops you will find in shopping centres lar...

Anyway since it was still December, it was still Christmas! They did some decorations in the building...

Christmas tree nice? Anyway it was day time then so the lights were not as bright lor. But the Christmas tree is very big leh, a few storeys high, just like the one in Ngee Ann City. Actually on that day we went, it was New Year's Eve! Hehe...31st December 2004 liao. So also got quite a lot of "mood" lar...

Anyway the KLCC was so big, it has so many different wings, so we walked and walked till we were a wee tad confused. And then we found this "courtyard" lookalike place at one of the exits...hehe.

That's the courtyard. Isn't the fountain nice? Hehe. The 1st 2 shots were taken while we were athe the courtyard, and there wasn't much, plus there were a lot of people smoking, so it wasn't really that good.

However some time later while walking around in Kinokuniya, clement realised that the windows in the bookstore had a great view of the fountain/courtyard below, so he took out his camera and took a few shots. I was quite worried that it wasn't allowed so I kept rushing clement to quick quick take the photos and run. Hehe. But in the end, the shots were worth it! Nicer than if we watch from below yah.

Anyway other than taking these few photos, the rest of the day was spent shopping and the movie lor. The shopping was great! I think there were at least 3 major departmental stores in KLCC. I think there was the Debenhem's, Isetan, and one more I can't remember...hehe. They were having big big sale...so, like mr clement always say....everyone's having a buying frenzy. :p

I bought 2 Mambo tops from the Mambo shop...I would never have stepped into one here in sg but heck, that shop was moving out so it was having at least 70% off everything inside! Hahaha...really can shop till broke lor. But by then I had already spent most of my money liao, so gotta take a tighter grip on my money...so I only bought things I really fancy. And anyway, if the prices are cheap enough, then should buy right! Hehe.

On a side note, I felt like the movie cheated my money can! Sheesh. I always thought Singapore's censors are a bit overboard when it comes to censorship, but then again, one needs to experience something more extreme to appreciate the less-extreme. Hehe. That Meet the Fockers were censored till it was so extreme...at least here we stick a higher rating so that the movie can pass uncut. After watching it we both agreed that even if the movie is cheaper, they chopped off more bits too, so it didn't make much of a difference too. -_-

This is the picture of the christmas tree at night. The colours look more vibrant hor. Hehe. Anyway it was around 9pm that night on a New Year's Eve...so really got a lot of mood lar. Haha. People were milling around and all that, with all the whistles and cat-calls. At that point in time, clement and I thought it would be safer to be back in the hotel room, you never know when people decide to get rowdy anyway...so we bought some Auntie Anne's and Roti Boy and went back to hotel le.

I always like to eat Auntie Anne's in Malaysia because it's so cheap. Hehe. The prices of half of that in Singapore, so I will definitely have it whenever I am there. And as for this Roti boy, heard a lot about it in magazines and newspapers, but never got a chance to know what it is...so that time when we saw that there was this Rotiboy shop in KLCC, we decided to buy and try lot. At first we didn't know what's so special about it, so I made clement go and ask the girl at the counter what's their specialty. The girl just merely replied, "Rotiboy", so clement ordered 2 from her lor. It's RM1.50 each...quite cheap lar. Hehe.

So it's the coffee-flavoured bread, with some sort of cream filling inside lor. Anyway the shop had long queues after the bread was made, luckily we ordered beforehand so we skipped the queue and gave them our receipt in exchange for the bread lor. :) And after tasting that mr clement was forever smitten with the bread...he vowed to find it and buy back to Singapore the next day when we fly home. -_-

That's me in the train! Hehe. I purposely made mr clement take photo like that so can see behind me and can see how the interior of the train looks like. The train is definitely bigger than the monorail lor, and so it's definitely more crowded. Hmm...but it's okay lar, I think everyone going partying that night liao. Haha. So it's still quite empty-looking. Anyway the train is only above-ground for the 1st few stops and underground for the rest already...

Anyway while walking back we realise that there were groups of police on patrol. Maybe scared got terrorist attacks bah. And then clement was saying probably they were there to make sure people don't get too rowdy, because it was already 11pm liao, that's when people starts to get rowdy and all that lar. Quite true I think...hmm...anyway got police also good, at least we know we can be safe bah. Heh~

And then after that we also took pics of our tickets. Forgot about it lor. Hehe. Now that I see the tickets, then I realised that this train system is an LRT system. Hehe. Ah well, I also cannot remember liao. Even the mag and maps that we had, I also dunno put until where liao. Hehe.

And that's the model of the KL Sentral Station lar. Since we can never see it from the top...the model will have to do as well. Hehe. Come to think of it, the tickets we have, are the ones that we used to use when there was no EZ-Link in the past also. Those kind of magnetic film-strip tickets lor...I used to love bending then and folding then and then watch it spring to its original shape again. Haha. So right now I have a chance to play with it once again lor...haha.

And so its home-sweet-home again lar...hehe. Anyway, everywhere we go, both Hilton and Le Meridien are together...they share the same building (since the buildings are joined), they share the same lobby, and then they share the same lifts too. It's only the entrance then the 2 hotels seperate lor...it's the right-side picture. It's not the lift...it's the entrance to the hotel le... :)

Clement carried a lot of things hor? Haha. I also carrying a lot of things. We both carry so many things still want to take photo, so in the end carry and take lor. Scared leave on the floor will kena stolen. Haha. Actually we were quite worried got attacks and all that, so have to be vigilant at all times. Somemore at night that lobby don't have people de...so must be even more careful lor. :)

Anyway after I reached the hotel I decided to take a few photos of the more interesting thingys in the hotel room. This room is full of surprises man...got so many interesting things which both of us didn't realise, because we were too tired 90% of the time and clement was just so interested in fiddling with the tv (that 42-inch plasma tv lor...). So I must go and explore. Hehe.

So many thingys...hehe. It's quite funny how they labelled everything, and how everything was stored. The shopping bag was damn cool...soooo big. Hehe. As big as an A3-size paper. Can really put a lot of things. I recently realised that almost every hotel will provide their hotel paper bag in the room, as sort of an advertisement for them when we go out. I have got quite a few already at home...most from local hotels. I think this is a recent phenomenem...haha... :p

And I realised that Hilton is really special, because they have these boxes called the Lifestyle Box! Haha...specially for us to use de lor. While some stuffs are free of charged, some must be paid...so they will list down specifically what is charged and what is not lar. Anyway this is the 1st time I have encountered this in a hotel...really really impressed sia!!!

Anyway the one on the left is the Rest and Relax box. Forgot what is the original name liao, so I think it's something similar lar. hee. Anyway got eye mask, as you can see, got wet towels, got a lot of creams also...it's for someone who's probably just alighted from the plane and feeling very jet-lagged lar....

There are 2 more boxes too, got a Kiddy box, and also a Business box. Hehe. The 2 boxes are self-explanatory lor...hehe.

Very interesting right! Hehe. The Business box got everything imaginable lor. Hehe. Got some things once opened, must pay, but other than that nothing else need to be paid. Scissors and punchers no need mah. Hehe. And the Kiddy box even more powerful lor...hehe. Got so many things. Hehe. Though the Uno must pay once opened though, and also the stickers and the game sets lar. Hehe. My monkeys looked very at home in the box, mainly because it's also a toy like the lego...wahaha.

These are the information files. About the hotel, about eating in KL, and of course things to see in KL lor. Actually it wasn't very accurate, for instance, they didn't have a map of the monorail service even though there's a monorail train there lor. But then me and clement did pored through it to see whether we missed anything out that we should have noticed. Hehe.

Nevertheless, it was a very thoughtful gesture to provide such a "guide" lor. Not every hotel will bother to have all these to help guests around lar. Hehe.

Anyway, there were a few other amenities also in the hotel which are worth mentioning...because it's really very out-of-this world and one would have never thought of it lar! Hehe. For instance, the toilet bowl...

The toilet bowl darn stylo! Got controls to wash your butt lor. And for girls...the intimate part too. Hehe. I think it's because Malays often wash after they do their business, so I guess they integrated this into the toilet bowl so that no need to be so troublesome, have to get water ready. Hehe. Anyway this is something I have never seen before, so there. :)

That's the LCD tv! Can brush teeth and watch tv at the same time lor. That's what I did...hehe. Somemore there's plugged in speakers in the toilet, which means that it's definite possible to hear the television lor. This LCD tv is connected to the tv outside, so I can continue watching tv even though I am in the toilet lor...haha.

Anyway the camera and the spray are 2 items I found in the fridge. One would have thought the mini-bar is full of food...but this one even has got camera and cool-spray. So powerful sia...haha. But of course it will be quite expensive to use lar...so we look at it and then put it back. Hehe.

That's about it. Heh...last day updates...later bah. :) Tired le.

Cheers~

Hello World!

It's been a long time since I updated. Haha...feeling so slack lately, and I have a dozen things I want to do before sitting in front of the computer and do updates. Not to mention that my work is so draining, all I want to do is to go home, eat, and sleep. Sounds like a pig! Anyway... day 2 of my KL trip...I should write it all out before I forget and before I procastinate till it's too duh to continue. Haha...

On a sidenote, did I mention that my PC has spoilt! -_- Again! 2nd time in 6 months. And all my computer experts are having attachment overseas...so no one to fix it for me this time...sheesh~ Damn sad.

My Monkeys and My Key Cards =)
One of the photos I took when I had nothing much to do lar...

Some of the photos I took on the 2nd day before we set off...

The View from My Room

Our view was quite limited, but it's nice enough anyway. The swimming pool is shared with another hotel, Le Meridien, so that's why it is so big. The Le Meridien is right beside Hilton.

And so, we went out after admiring the scenary! We didn't set out very early, because we were both pigs and enjoying the beds, so the sun was wayyyy up. Haha. But we did settle for MacDonald's breaky (clement forgot to book the hotel with the breakfast lar!!!). MacDonald's in Malaysia was pretty cheap! So, it was good also. Anyway if we had breakfast counted in for our hotel, then we would have to wake up early to eat, which, on several occassions, we found it hard. LoL~

We found our way to the KL Sentral Station, the one which we came from the airport the night before. We didn't know that it was so near the hotel till we asked the porters hanging around by the lobby. Hehe. People there were really friendly, when we stepped out they were asking whether they can help us with anyway. Maybe it's because it's a new hotel, so impressions are important, that's why the impeccable service. Anyway we soon found our way to the station, and were told that there's a KL Monorail which can bring us around the city of KL just beside the central station. Thus we ate at the KL Sentral Station (the Mac) and then proceeded to look for the KL Monorail lar...

While crossing the road, we found a very interesting Walking Green Man traffic light! Hehe~ So being boliao I made clement take photo lar.

That's me taken at the traffic light. Behind me, the horizontal long building is the KL Sentral Station, the 2 tall buildings are the hotels, Hilton on the left and Le Meridien on the right. That's how close our hotel is to the KL Monorail. And on the top of the picture the funny looking structure is the track of the monorail lor. It runs on electricity, similar to that of the Sentosa's.

Anyway, our first stop was the KL Tower, that tall spaceship-looking tower as shown from the above photos. After looking at the maps, we found out that one of the station is nearest to it, so we took the monorail there.

While waiting I took photos at the station. (It's always me because clement wants to hold the camera... -_-)

Looks very crowded isn't it? It was very crowded when we took the monorail, probably because it's the 1st stop...but since people were getting to work, the crowd thinned out. And I wanna add...the ticket prices were relatively cheap! Haha...at least cheaper than in Singapore lar...

Anyway we could take photos when more people alighted from the train. And Mr Clement was holding our tickets...so I made him pose with it. Haha.

That's the interior of the train. It's quite an odd layout because it seems like the center strip faces the door. Anyway unlike the Sentosa's, this monorail is almost like Singapore's LRT system, except that it has a driver. But it runs on a single beam of track...so it's like a hybrid of the Sentosa's monorail and also the LRT lar...

I have somemore photos of the monorail...but I will put it on the other posts because I took more photos on it on our last day. Heh~

Anyway when we got to the station, we asked the station control the directions to KL Tower. And she said that we have to take taxi there. When clement asked if we could walk there, she said it would take very long. This was quite unexpected for us, because from the map the KL Tower looks so near...And so, we decide to be adventurous and follow the map and try to walk there lor....

It was indeed, a long long walk, we both were sweating like nobody's business. Haha~ But then we consoled ourselves by saying it's high time we exercise. -_- Like so duh! Haha. Come all the way to Malaysia to exercise! Sheesh~ But we fooled around with the camera anyways....so...

The bo liao us decided to take photos of ourselves at the Dang Wangi station...and we were lamenting why we didn't take the train instead of the monorail...because after walking for about 10 mins from the monorail station we saw this train station across the road. By the way, KL has so many train lines...that we were a bit blur. Almost all of them start from the KL Sentral Station, and the monorail was like, a new line, but seperate from the station.

Anyway we saw the SIA House building and we were like, Oooh...saw something from Singapore at last. -_- So duh...but we were trying to entertain ourselves while walking to the KL Tower mah...At this point we still didn't know where's the KL Tower hor. But we never thought we could get lost. Haha...Keep the faith man!

And so, we finally found our way to the elusive KL Tower after walking for almost 20 minutes lor. Hehe. We saw this 2 ang-mohs with maps and all that...so we assumed that they should be walking towards the same destination as us lar! And so we followed them...hehehe.

The 2 ang-mohs led us here, and there were taking photos of them pointing to the KL Tower and so we stopped to have a photo too! But you see those greenery surrounding the tower right? Haiiz. It's actually a hill lar! Hill-park sorta...the tower is located on a hill and so we have to climb! -_- Imagine, walking in the sweltering hot sun for 30 minutes already still have to climb a hill?!?!?! But no choice, we were so near yet so far...so we had to proceed on and climb....

We were lost as to how to get into the hill-park (there were so many roads leading everywhere) so we approached the security guard at one of the buildings. Most of the buildings there were churches I think, or half-way homes. Anyway the security guard recognised us as Singaporeans, then assured us that we continue walking straight sure will see the entrance to the hill park lar. And so we slogged on...

Luckily we brought the bottled water out from the hotel, if not I think the both of us would have died of dehydration...we didn't even pass by a single 7-11 store during that 30 minute walk! -_- But we wept for joy when we saw the sign....haha.

We were so close! Yay. And at last we reached the end of the hill park after climbing up the very zig-zagging road....

Made it! Yayyy. Haha. And so we decided that the taxi wasn't needed after all, since we could find our way there. We both felt very clever. LoL~

Heh~ Posed for a bit of photos before going out. We certainly didn't look very sweaty, but we were. And we were both darn tired also lar! Hehe. And so we quickly went up le lor.

We were foreigners lor, so we paid RM15.00 each. If you are a Malaysian I think you pay RM8.00 each to go up. Oh well, guess it doesn't make any difference. Haha. Most important is that we made it there. Haha.

It was very funny though, when we passed through the gantry, both me and mr clement were greeted by 2 ladies. As I walked through the scanner and all that, the 2 ladies told me, "Welcome to KL Tower". When mr clement walked behind me, they told him, "Konichiwa" the Japanese-equivalent of "Welcome". I heard it, mr clement heard it, we both laughed about it in the lift. Haha. I can't believe it. They must have thought mr clement was Japanese, since he had small eyes with that toot hairstyle. Whahaha. We both pengz...LoL~

Anyway after that, we reached the top le. (Also known as Observation Deck) They gave us this little recorders which was supposed to act as our tour-guide. It's supposed to be a pre-recorded guided tour of the views we were supposed to see anyway.

Recognise the last pic? It was the Dang Wangi station which mr clement and I took turns to take photos while walking to the tower. Haha. So we were close, but surrounded by the hill and trees so we couldn't take a direct short-cut to the tower lar. The 2 tall buildings on the top-right are the world-famous Petronas Towers lar. We didn't managed to go up that building, because we didn't wake-up early enough to queue for the tix! Bleah~ But still, we could see them from the tower, so it ain't no matter! Hehe.

That's the pre-recorded guided tour player that mr clement is wearing on his neck lar. There are many channels on it, so depending on where you are, you can press the number on the keypad. That yellow flag behind mr clement with the ear-phone graphic and the number is the place where you should stand, and press number 11 to listen to the voice-recording for that section. Pretty cool right? Hehe. In the past when I came there wasn't such thing.

Anyway the views was quite good, since it wasn't very cloudy that day, but according to the information board, one can see as far as Genting on a very clear day. Hehe. So powerful sia.

So we waited on, waiting for the clouds to clear, waiting to see even more, waiting also for the crowd to ease. It's quite hard to see actually, because there were so many people, and many more people kept streaming in too...so it's quite terok lar. So have to wait for crowds to clear, so that can spot all those buildings which the sound-recording was talking about. Hehe. But actually hor, right now, if you ask me, I also cannot remember liao. Hehe.

That's us, but taken on seperate shots. We were trying out the camera 2-shot function whereby 1/2 will be taken first and the other half taken after. This is one of the more "successful shot". Hehe. It looks seamless mah...if not it is very obvious that the photos were taken twice, because the backgrounds do not match.

Actually we were scared to ask people take photo for us, for fear that they may just run off with the camera. Haha.

Anyway we spotted our hotel from high-above! So must take photo of course lar! :p And that's me pointing the Petronas Towers, because it's THE shot for anyone who visits the tower lar. How we know? The souvenir photos from KL Tower says so! Hehe~

So we hung around the tower for about 2 hours, before we went down because we were just too hungry. Hehe. There wasn't anything up there to eat anyway...only a cafe but it's not good enough for lunch, so we went and hired a cab this time (we don't want to walk back to the monorail again >.<) and went to one of their shopping centres, Lot 10.

Taking a cab is damn funny over there. You don't just hop on to 1 when you see 1. You have to go to the cab station, tell them where you want to go, and then they will quote you a price. You pay up, they will give you a receipt, and then call one of the cab drivers to drive you to wherever you said you want to go in the 1st place. And so the driver will drive you to your destination, and you need not pay again lar.

Anyway, we had lunch, and then we started to go shopping lor! Yay.....

We shopped at Lot 10 a little, think they have Isetan and Esprit and all those shops that we normally see in Singapore lar. But I can't remember liao...I think I bought clothes from Isetan, but ignored the MNG part inside there...although they were also having sale. The MNG was damn ex lor! After the 50% off the price is still the same 100% price of Singapore's, meaning that in Singapore, during the sale, the price will cost only a quarter that of Malaysia's. So I didn't buy lar. Hehe. Can come back here and buy lor. :)

Anyway we got out of Lot 10 and went to the other shopping centres along the stretch lor. And then found a 24-hour KFC there. Okies, actually one of mr clement's colleagues actually drew him a map and told him where to eat the best food and all that...and the 24-hour KFC is so-called the best because it is opened 24 hours lar! -_- Anyway in Malaysia, must always eat the KFC there, because the chicken there is sooo much better than that served in Singapore.

It's 10 times more tender than the Singapore's, and much more jucier. So it's really nice, even when you eat the breast meat. I told mr clement, and once he bit into the chicken he could tell the difference liao...and he said that KFC must have exported all the old chickens to Singapore, leaving the young chickens behind so that's why the meat tastes so different. Hmmm...I think it might be true yah!

This is the interior of Times Square. Doesn't it looks so...tall? I think there were at least 9 storeys of shops for you to shop until shiok shiok lar. But of course, there were lots of blank shops also, because no tenants lor. They have Debenhem's, a UK departmental store at the basement, whereby mr clement and I walked in and left after a mere 3 minutes. Because the things there were so expensive lar! I believe it's an up-market departmental store lar, because a blouse there costs RM200.00 okies. I will never pay more than S$50 for a top leh. It's excessive. Hehe.

Anyway, by then we had walked for the whole day and it was already 6pm, so we had Kenny Roger's for dinner. The restaurant is different from the one in Singapore, because they actually have menus and people who will serve you lar. The food is of course the same though. :) Both mr clement and me were darn sian of serving ourselves lar, so we decided to take Kenny Roger's so that people can serve us. Haha.

We discovered an indoor theme park after our dinner! Which is a waste because I was feeling darn full and didn't want to sit through an exciting roller coaster ride, because I was thinking I might really throw everything out. So we had to content with taking photos lor...

Doesn't it look exciting? Too bad we didn't have a chance to take the ride lar. Actually it's quite scary, because everytime the roller coaster starts rolling, they will cause the building to shake, the floor to shake...at first while shopping in the basement I didn't know why the floor was shaking the way it was, then realised it after our dinner lor. Hehe. So duh.

Anyway after shopping till all the shops wanna close liao, we decided to head back lar. And mr clement was whining about supper because he's just mouth-itchy. So upon consulting that mag I kapok from Genting the other time, we realised there's this famous Hokkien Mee near one of the monorail stations. So we went there and bought 1 pack lor. :)

That's the signboard, and the mee. It's a 5-10 minute walk from the monorail lor, and luckily it was pretty straight forward. Just walk straight all the way. Both mr clement and I were rather worried, because it was threatening to rain liao also. And it had rained a bit in the day, so the roads were wet. And there were lots of booby traps on the pavements and roads, because there were so many potholes so we have got to be very careful lor. And although it was by the road, the lights were dim and all that, so must be very careful. :)
