Valentine's Month? Wooo~

Come to think of it, this February feels like a valentine's month for both mr clement and me. Maybe it's because we had a rotten January, or maybe it's because we finally got settled into our relationship together? Or maybe because he has the convenience of his own transport so we could meet up more often? (The more we see each other the more we fall for each other. buahahaha. ) LoL~ I dunno, but it all seems pretty good to me...because:

4th Feb 2005
We went for a buffet dinner at the Ritz! It was the Friday following the Sunday which we made up. And that was the start of things to come... :)

8th Feb 2005
Eve of CNY. We went out together in the evening and caught the movie, Constantine together. And it was followed by a late-night supper & a walk in the park. Good eh? Hee hee~

11th Feb 2005 & 12th Feb 2005
We went for our 6th chalet together. This time it's at Marina Mandarin Hotel! Just nice because I wasn't working on 11th (my sup gave me an off-day) and so mr clement also didn't have to work on 11th and 12th too. So long weekend = chalet time! :p Wanted to opt for a v-day package but since I couldn't find one in such a short period of time so we just chin chye take a singaporean package lar. And so we spent 2 full days and 1 night together. Loved just to have the chance to sleep beside him and wake up beside him. *smiles in bliss*

Haha. And that was our week leading to valentine's. :) Although on that actual day itself he had to work so we couldn't spend time together, but then, it's okay because we have already had our valentine's week together yah. Happie happie~

Anyway following that, this week (21st - 25th Feb 2005) was simply great! Partly because I got to meet mr clement everyday. (usually we meet once every 3 days because of his current work schedule) Instead, we met for 3 days straight...and mr clement even drove me out for lunch so that I won't be stucked with the 'sian' foodcourt/hawker food at my company. I'm quite sick of foodcourt food, so when we met up, we go for western food, and fast food! I like fast food a lot leh...even with all the calories and all that. Heehee.

So he will wake up at 10.30am, then drive down to pick me up at 11.30, we will have lunch till 1pm, then come back to company. He will then go home and do his stuffs. In the evening he will pick me up after work, go for dinner, and on one of the days we went to watch movie. All in all, it's pretty good, because we get to meet up more often, which is good. Heh~ I am a very needy gf mah. I must meet up with my bf as often as I can de. Heh~

I did ask him whether it's okay with us meeting up so often, because in the past we don't. LoL~ But he say since he got nothing on, so meet me is okay de. If he has to go back office, then of course cannot meet lar. Hm...I am perfectly fine with that lar. As long as he doesn't suddenly neglect me can already. Heehee~

Oh, and guess what? 19th Feb 2005, me and clement met up, went to the east coast park! This is not the main point. Haha. The main point is, he popped the question! Wahahaha...and it was darn funny, because I chose not to answer lar. LoL~ We were sitting at the breakwaters along the beaches, and then staring out at the sea lor. It was dark, but not a very romantic setting can? There were so many couples (even a family okay!) sitting on the same breakwater, but with a little distance in between lar. Still, even though we were sitting close together watching the sea and the aeroplanes flying above us, I didn't feel particularly romantic. LoL~ Maybe because I pointed out to mr clement that I ever sat at the beach with a good guy friend of mine before watching the sea...and that I have never done it with my own bf...so mr clement insisted that we should go do the same. -_-

So can imagine my incredulous-ness when he asked me lar. LoL~ I kept quiet lor...and then after that mr clement just say..."too shy to answer ah?" I still kept quiet lor...hahaha. Purposely want to ka jiao him one lar. Then I told him to think properly before asking the question lar. Haha. So later he asked me lor, what was I thinking after he asked....

I had 3 thoughts in my mind lor. Heehee~ I very truthfully told him.

1st response: "Wah, is he for real?"

2nd response: "so unromantic de..."

3rd response: "I better dun answer..."

Wahahahaha. That's why I kept quiet lar! Heehee. And then I asked him was he testing the waters huh... then he just gave me a silly grin. And then I told him very unromantic leh, like that ask. He say, "where got unromantic? Got sand, got sea, got aeroplane flying above, got stars, got the nightsky, very romantic what..." wah biang. -_- I'm speechless!!!

Then after that he later say next time he will make it more romantic lor. LoL~

And that's why I'm with him, because he makes me laugh...a LOT. :p

For you, Viol (if you ever read this)

Hmm...I have decided that I should have seperate posts for seperate stuffs, so I won't confuse people and I won't confuse myself when I read it next time. :) I actually like writing blogs...used to keep one in my JC days...all the way till uni. And then I paused for a while because I was getting lazy (and busy) so I stopped. And then my dearest friend asked me to write again..so that we can update each other... How are you doing Viol? Hope you are okay yah?

Here's the picture of your cat and my monkey!!! :)

Cute eh? Haha. =p My monkey looks so shy again. Heehee~ Poor cat, got monkey sitting on top of it. But then again, my monkey very small de mah. Heehee~ So cute. *grins*

The Attachment

This is Mogu, my little egg-cushion. :) Another collection to the bo liao things that mr clement bought for me lar! He has one too...except that it's a human figurine. I like this because it has this cheesy look on the face. lol~

It's been some time since I last posted! Lacking of photos in my blog, I think. So today, since I am not going out and staying home the whole day, I shall spend some time updating everything! Yay...

But I have quite a number of stuffs to write about...hmm...dunno how, so I think I will just write and upload and write till I tire out okies. Heh~

My supervisor called me the day before!! All the way from US, Pittsburg! So sweet of him...called to ask me how am I doing and how am I coping at work without him around. And also asked if I am facing any problems now that he is not there. So nice right? I won't expect my supervisor to call lor, because he is supervisor mah. Anyway we can always keep in contact via email...I did email him once or twice like this lar...about work stuffs.

Besides work stuffs, he also sent photos/movies of the place he's currently at now. In US it's like snowing very heavily, so he had lots of movies/photos of snow lar. He has been emailing some of it to us (attachment students) to let us see lor. And he also wrote our names on snow and took photos of it for us! So sweet of him yah. :)

Okay lar, before I gush anymore about my sup..he is already married lar! Happily married with 2 kids and a very pretty wife! And he often shows us the photos of his family, and I think he's just a very lucky man! Anyway at work, he is just a very nice guy, and very humble. He said to me before on my 1st week of attachment, "whatever I have learnt in 10 years working here, I will teach you, and your purpose of coming here is to learn things that cannot be taught in school. If I teach you things that you already learnt before, then you are just wasting your time here." I find him quite inspirational, because of what he said, and also that he's a very motivated person. Best of all, he is very humble and easy to get along with, unlike some of the other engineers in my company who treat attachment students like their own PA (personal assistants), making them do mundane stuffs and criticizing everything they had done. Luckily my sup is not such a person! At least when he tells us to do something, he will tell us why we need to do it, and what role does it play in the project. At least we know what we are doing rather than just following instructions blindly yah?

Guess I am just so lucky to have a nice sup. Haha. Actually 3 of us are lucky. Hehe~ To think I was fretting so much about not being able to get a company I want for the attachment. (I only got a company in the 3rd round ya know...) In some sense maybe it is fate bah. Hahaha.

Yup...and also, my tutor from school is also a nice guy! LoL~ We were quite apprehensive prior to meeting him because we don't really know what kind of person he is. And from what we heard of other tutors (my friends are under him), it seems like they will ask a lot of technical questions and things that we never know and whereby everyone just stands there dumbfounded. Hmmm...but hey! Our tutor isn't like that. He's quite a friendly guy, and was telling us that attchment must learn things that we never encounted in school (quite similar to my sup too). And not only that, he was saying that if we encountered any problem, we have to inform him, so that he knows what he is going on. Other than that, when he looked through our log books, he didn't ask many questions lar. Only what we have learnt and all lor. Good eh...

It's a relief! At least my attachment stuffs are more or less ok le. No need to worry too much yah. :)

It's Back to Reality...

once again. Can't believe that my long weekend (5 days, to be exact) just flew past like that! Grrr...so it's back to early mornings and long hours in the office once again.... *shrugs*

Anyway I had a pretty good long weekend...even though this year's CNY was pretty different from the past....amidst shuttling to and fro from hospital, I had time to visit my uncles and aunts from my father's side, meet up with my friend, go mr clement's place to bai nian, go chalet with mr clement as well.

Seems like my long weekend has been very fulfiling! :) But now it's really very very sian....because, it's back to days in the office already... And then my sup is flying off to US for the next 3 weeks....so sad right. Oh, my sup very sweet wor. He bought a little jade-keychain for each of us (IA students). No wonder he called me during the new year and asked me what year I was born in lar. So it was because of it.

And since I am pig...and so are the other 2 students under him...so he commented that we are like 3 little pigs and he can be the big bad wolf. LoL~ That's my sup for you...super crappo one. Hehe.

Think I will miss him when he goes off lar. So sad!!! Office will be so boring without him and his corny jokes liaoz.

Hmm...other than that, nothing much else to talk about. My mind is running overtime with silly thoughts once again...grrr...and I feel especially vulnerable these days. Is this PMS (Post-Menstrual Syndrome) huh...someone tell me. I hate that feeling and I hate it when I can't have any control over my silly brain with over-running thoughts! Hmmmphs~ Can't sleep at night especially, because of all that over-active brain cells.

Anyway, Happie Valentine's Day to all the happie couples out there. May the couples be happie for a long long time...and may the singles find their other half soon. Me had no date today...I went home and sleep straight after work lor. Thought of meeting up with my friends for makan or what...but then again, it's the lovers' day lar...everything will be super ex like that...no point lar.

And see all the happie couples around...I will start thinking hay-wire stuffs again. Bleah~ Better not associate too much. I find that I'm weird...everytime I see happie couples I will think they are so sweet...but when it happens to me I feel quite indifferent to it. Maybe it's because I don't have it, I want it. But after I had it, it doesn't seem anything special to me anymore lar....

By the way I am starting to think that the govt's policy of baby bonus is coming through to singaporeans leh. I am starting to see an increased number of pregnant women walking around. Makes it very difficult for me to sit inside an MRT train because always have to give up seats for them. Anyway I always stand...sit only if the journey is very long lar. Haha. Then again, if I'm pregnant (that is if I ever get married first) I would also want someone to give up their seats for me. It's courtesy and respect mah. Correct?

Cheers~

Busy day today ...

Today is 1st day of CNY wor. To my surprise, it seems like very busy wor. Went to visit my ah kong in hospital in the morning, and then after that went to my aunt's place....stayed for the afternoon...and then in the evening I met up with my friend for dinner and chit-chat.

Like this hor, 1 day gone liao lor. So busy sia...the moment I reach home I got ready to go out again because I going to meet my friend. Haha. Like some da4 mang2 ren2. Haha.

Oh, and guess what! Today 1st day of Lunar New Year hor, I got my reds!!! Boo hoo hoo~ So spoiler can...becoz I already plan my outfit liao leh. I planned to wear white skirt today mah. So I wore white underwear also lor. And then today come my reds, sian 1/2 liao lor, because like this wear white very obvious if got stain.

But hor, I stubborn sia. Haha. I still wear lor. So when I went out, everytime I sit down I worry like hell, then when I stand up I will turn over and check thoroughly for any stains. LoL~ So duh. But I plan liao mah! And I don't like to upset my plans. Haha. Tomorrow's outfit also plan liao. Luckily no more white skirt. LoL~ Tomorrow is pink skorts! Good eh...double layer, so no need to worry about staining so much. :)

Ok lar, very duh, I talking about this on the 1st day of Lunar New Year sia. Haha. Anyway! I went to my aunt's place...then saw my cousins lor. His gf also around eh! So surprising because last gf never see before de. So my other cousin say this time round very serious de lor. LoL~ Anyway, she quite funny leh, whole body wear black...1st day of lunar new year mah...should wear some colour isn't it? Hm...dunno lar. My impression of her was very black lor, because she wore a black tube, black skirt, and black stockings sia. Totally match....and then somemore her hair also very black....so it's like, the only colour I see are on her shoulders lar...Like so weird...

Anyway TOTO or 4-D got big prize ah? Today my aunt's house downstairs the sg pools shop so long queue...haven't open already got super long queue...so open liao, the queue went all the way onto the road lor. So kua zhang.

Very tired le...shall go orr orr now. :)

Cheers~

Happie CNY... :)

This year's CNY will be a different one from before...mainly because my ah kong is in hospital and so we don't go around to visit the elders anymore.

Usually on the 1st day we will set out at 8am, visit from house-to-house with my grandparents, my uncles and aunts (aka my mother's side extended family lar). The people we visit will be my grandparents' brothers and sisters lar...and it's quite fun, because it's the whole family go out together mah. Always has been, ever since I was a baby.

This year will be different because we can't possibly go visiting liao. So on the 1st day of new year, will be going to hospital to visit my ah kong lor. My grandmother said no need to visit the elders le...so no visit le lor.

Yup...so this year CNY will be a rather quiet one, spent in the hospital bah. But it's okay also lar, that means got more time to rest....coz CNY will be just like another public holiday, can stay at home and rest and sleep more...also good. Working is so tiring can! Hmph~

Anyway, I am very happie today. :) I finally bought a V-day pressie for mr clement. Haha. It was like, more of convenience lar. Coz he needs a new belt lor. So I just choose 1 nice one for him. Heh~ In the end hor, he also paid for it. LoL~ He want to earn points for his credit card lor. So let him pay. But I will pay him back lar. He still bothered to tell me that CNY cannot have debts one leh... -_-!!!

Me go sleep le. So tired!!!

Cheers~

Very Long Posting...

Things are looking up, in the midst of all the turmoil in my life. But hey, what doesn't gets you down can only make you stronger right? Heehee~

My grandfather is on his way to recovery, but a rather slow and uncertain one, and one that's full of obstacles lar. Although the operation was a success, but right now, his gullet and air pipe (dunno what you call that) is like, joined(!) or entangled(!) and so, everything he is consuming via his mouth will end up in his lungs. And so right now, he has to go through tube feeding lor...which I think is really very very jia lat lar... And the doctor mentioned that he may have to be fed this way for the rest of his life, because it seems that there's probably very little chance that the food will actually go into his stomach if he eats.

This is like, so unexpected! One would have thought that after the operation of the neck bone, everything will be okay, but in the end, this came up! And then not only this, the doctors were saying that he doesn't breathe properly and deeply enough, and so they are also now trying to "train" him to breathe. Sheesh~ Suddenly the main focus is no longer on his neck or nerves...it's all the other things also...

Haiz. I hope my grandfather doesn't give up on himself, if not, we really can't help him already. There are days whereby he was really frustrated and ended up scolding a lot of people, and some days where he will sleep and sleep the day away. He once mentioned that he can't eat, can't move his hands, can't walk...and he still got a lot of things to do. And that is his source of frustration lar. But we are always reminding him that everything will take time lor, so have to tell him that he has to go through physio to get well. In actual fact, so far we don't even know whether he will be able to go through physio...the current hospital doesn't want him, now have to wait for another hospital liao. If they don't, then my grandfather will really have no where to go also.

Enough of my ah kong. Well, mr clement and I are like, okay once again. :) Seems like we really dun have the kind of mo4 qi4 to know what each other is thinking lor. Grrrr. Why can't he think like a normal human being huh! Why can't he react the same way as a normal human huh! Why must be his responses be so weird de!!! Bleah. If he thinks like a normal human then I think we won't have so much unhappiness between us lor. Everything just started from his actions (or lack of), and so we had a big fight and all that lor.

Anyway, we have talked things through, and once again, everything is okay. It's funny you know, because there was a time when I was so adamant that I just want to leave him, because of the way he's reacting to my grandfather's plight and me...and on that day we met up to talk about it, he actually brought my valentine's day pressie along. -_- He told me he thought he was going to lose me that night...and wanted to give me whatever he has bought for the V-day (this year) because he scared got no chance to give. I nearly want to pengz okay! Aiyoyo....see! I say he doesn't think like normal human being liao. LoL~

In some sense it's actually sweet lar, because he actually got think of V-day and he had even started planning and buying what he wanted to give me lor. Although it's not very complete, because he didn't have time to look for a shop to carve the metal key chain, but I think the fact he actually started planning for V-day in January is very sweet lar. For me, I think I would be last minute again...wondering what to buy for him lor.

Actually at this point in time while I am writing this, I really have nothing planned for him yet! Hahaha...

And since V-day he will be working, we earlier "celebrated" our V-day lar. Went to Ritz Carlton for a very nice dinner on Friday night! (4 Feb 2005) It's buffet style lar, and it has got an amazing array of food! The appettizers already can scare you liao....got cold dish (many many kinds), got bread (different kinds), got dim sum (char siew sou, spring roll...), got cheese (different colours and shapes). Then the main course got amazing array lor...things like sea cucumber (which I didn't eat), lobster cooked in different ways, fish (salmon and others), chicken (very nice!), lamb steak, beef steak, fried tang hoon...etc. The food like very exotic lar. Will never expect to eat it outside lor. Heh~ And there's this seafood section lor, where, of course people were crowding around for the whole night lar. Got sushi (raw) and sashimi, and also lobsters, crayfish, crab, tiger prawns, mussels, etc.

And then for dessert there are fruits (usual lar), cakes (plenty!), puddings (very cute lar), oh! And lots of chocolate! I love the chocolates leh...it's those kind you see at the chocolate shop de lor. Little cubes put very nicely together for everyone to take...and got 8 kinds I think. Haha. But then by the time we started attacking the chocolates we were darn full. So in the end we ate 4 of it. Got peanut chocolate and green tea chocolate de. So stylo. Heehee~

Amazing array of food sia....haha. We spent I think2 hours sitting there and eating and chatting lor. LoL~ We didn't like the lobsters, so we had more of the crayfish and prawns lar. What strikes me was that, there were at least 3 different dishes with lobster lor...got a seafood combo, got a fried slipper lobster (very nice!), got those steamed lobster lor...kaoz. Like lobster dun need money like that de. Hahaha.

And then there was also coffee and tea for all lar...included in the buffet. That dinner was like 100+ for both of us lor...luckily got vouchers...haha. So we ended up paying 60 bucks or so. Very worth it sia. And of course, the service was impeccable...it's the Ritz after all. :)

Anyway, did you know that 4 Feb 2005 is actually the start of the Chinese New Year? Not 9 February like the Lunar Calendar says. That's because the CNY is actually the start of Spring (in dunno where). And this year the spring starts earlier than the Lunar Calendar...and this is considered a "blind" year. I read about this in Straits Times before...that's why they say this year get married is considered inauspicious lar...hmmm......

I have been receiving a lot of horoscope thingy via email lately, and in office too. Haha. Especially in office, it's like, someone printed the whole horoscop thingy in office and spread around lor. And since some of the IA students are from China, so ask them to read and then tell us what it is about lor. Very good ah...because the horoscope thingy are all in Chinese and I read Chinese very slowly de lor. Heehee~

But there was one I received from my mother lar. It mentioned that this Rooster year is considered not very auspicious lor. And it also mentioned that 4 Feb 2005 is actually the start of the CNY...so observe what happens (or happened, in my case) to you on that day...because it is indicative of what the rest of the year will be like. :) Hmmm...guess what. The most unfortunate incident that happened to me was that I carried a bowl of soup and scalded my finger lor. And this has never happened before lar. My finger damn pain also. Bleah....so I guess, not a very good "start" lor.

And for mr clement hor, even more eventful sia. He woke up to find that his car tyres were punctured. Not 1, not 2, but all 4 tyres okay! A prankster must have been lurking around in the carpark that night lor. Bleah~ In the end he had to change all 4 tyres...costing him 630 bucks. Heart pain leh. So I guess for him, it's a bad year for buying cars? Hahahaha.....

Actually this kind of thing, take it as a pinch of salt de lor. Though a lot of people like to believe in this and all, but then I think everything is also pre-destined de lar. Just like mr clement and his car lor. Usually he work night shifts de mah, at night will park at company de lor. Then just nice that night he not working, park in the carpark and then kena liao lor.

So I told him better go and buy 4-D man...buy the date, buy the car number...Hahaha. So qiao man, everything happened on that fateful 4 February lor. Too coincidental liao sia....

And hor, I realised that I still have yet to post pics of my cousin's wedding, my KL trip...hmmmm....no time so far leh. sheesh~ Maybe later today or something bah. Haha. I have to spring clean today yah! Monday working, Tuesday half day, but I will have a 5-day weekend after that! Yay! The Friday after the 2 days CNY I will have off, because my supervisor says so! Haha. Such a nice guy... :p And apparently all the IA students all having offday also lar. So no point some go back and some stay at home lor. And my supervisor also taking leave sia. Haha. So no point for us to go to work when there's no one to give work right? Hahahaha.

Later then write somemore. :)

Cheers~
